I'm using swisspost and it's been stuck on "at border point of origin country" since Monday... I ordered a Vamo V5 so I'm a little worried customs aren't gonna let it through is this normal?

My last order was like yours, only last week. Last update was on the Monday and it didn't update till the Friday. Didn't get it till the Monday unfortunately. It was a couple of hours too late getting into the parcel centre to go out with the postman on Friday!

It seems the first bunch of updates are it leaving Asia and the second bunch are when it hits Switzerland and forwards to Ireland. It does take a silly amount of time to get from Switzerland to here, though! Still, better than all the other FT shipping options!

China post can be pretty crap. I was told Swisspost was the better option.

This is my current order, much slower than previous Swiss Post orders which all arrived within a week.

which is the best option from fasttech for delivery nowadays does anyone know - singapore post or swiss post?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 933 ✭✭✭jousting with chairs

Swiss is still the fastest but it can take up to 14 days now,hit and miss atm.

I would use their recommended option. Two deliveries in under two weeks for me, incl. wkends.

Singpost? I have a couple of orders coming with them and one was dispatched to overseas today after been collected from FT 9 days ago,2 more still in limbo with them.

if you're ordering batteries it seems that you CAN'T use swisspost, but can use Sing post.

Swiss are grand for built in batteries(ego's ect) but the only way to ship loose batteries is surface mail with Hong Kong 45 - 60 days.

I could select sing post for batteries.

Weird, I tried one there and this was the only option I got,

Registered Surface Mail via Hong Kong Post FREE (45 to 60 days in transit)

Ah, they are considered built in batteries, most carriers will ship them.

It's loose batteries that are a problem to get shipped, like these

does that qualify as a built in battery, I guess so. I raised a ticket to see if I could change to swiss post (as from the comments here seems to be quicker for Ireland) and they told me that swiss post won't ship batteries but I think that it was an option when I had the shipping method.

I just tried there and it let me select Swiss

    Shipping method:
    Swiss Post (+$2.11)
Change / Upgrade Shipping for Faster Speed

The shipping is $2.11 because I had less than $20 in the cart.

yeah, guess that it was just a support person fobbing me off, probably because it would be too awkward to do it. I guess that if I cancel and reorder that should work? are they reasonably quick on refunding a cancelled order?

Just use Singapore Post. As I said, it's quick. Why order from FT (for savings?) and then waste money needlessly on shipping?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 933 ✭✭✭jousting with chairs

Just cancel it and you get a gift cert instantly, then reorder and select Swiss post as carrier.
I noticed that the black batteries you ordered will not be in stock for a few days,if you're not fussed about colour the red and green ship next day.

Or as JM said just go with SP,very little between them atm.

received today. order was oct 28th. so not too bad through sing post although does seem to take a while to actually move anywhere on the tracking but once it does about 4 days.
