    The new set...

I presume the thing hanging from the ceiling are temporary unless they are expecting Tarzan and friends for regular visits.

To be honest, if this season's shows have similar content to last, I'd be worried that they might find some of the audience hanging from them after the show... And possibly some of the guests.

    This weeks guests:

    Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley
    Rose of Tralee Maria Walshe
Baz Ashmawy and his mammy (I'm serious)
    A miserly slot (or 2) (or 3)

    Quality :D
I'd still wager a last minute drop in by Louis or some other stalwart.

    Another very poor lineup ......

Apart from the new Rose (played on by the song, 'I kissed a girl') being gay, which might have been a deal twenty years ago......not much in it.
RTE 'personalities' talking about RTE shows..... I give you Baz the twat.

Yay it's back! You're all back! I'm back!

    Love September :)

I see the same old kind of guests are back too :(

I applied for the Late Late audience a few weeks ago, really hope I'm picked!! From those in the know - how much notice do you get if you get to be in the audience? When I tried to submit my application form it was hanging for ages and then disappeared so I'm assuming (hoping) it went through...

Is the worm Tubridy gone yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,194 ✭✭✭foxy farmer

A six figure salary to present these. Ive seen better guests at village festival. Any chance of a good studio debate with audience participation ? Kenny and Tubridy couldn't handle what would come up in an unscripted unreheased debate.

Just spotted this on the Twitter machine...

"Delighted to announce that Sky Broadband is to sponsor the @RTELateLateShow for a 2nd year starting Fri @SkyIreland"

    BwryoDyIQAAFFyj.jpg

Sky have also announced that they have change their slogan to bring them more in line with RTE. So where they used to have "Believe In Better", they now have

"Believe in Nepotism and Consistent Mediocrity"

I think it has a nice ring to it.

I find it amazing that people bother watching a show that clearly annoys them so much and then go to the trouble of writing about it. This is most evident on Twitter.

Because we're all miserable bastards and this excuse of an entertainment show gives us something to whinge, moan and laugh at on a Friday night after a long week in work while we relax with a beer/wine.

    Hope that clears things up.

Actually Baz's new programme is shown on Sky1 not RTE.

The lineup is not great tonight but I will look forward to what is going on in this thread.

    :)
Oh btw for fans of the 50th anniversary lls (a great night imo)! It is ALL on the RTE website.

For me, I just went straight to the last 4 minutes of it and watched Dickie Rock and the RTE orchestra perform To Whom it Concerns. I always liked that song from the 60's but like this version of it best (the 6o's version is a bit frenetic imo)

    Ah yes, I love September...

    87AYu9.jpg

Everybody feels like their are just back to school. We've all got the new covers on our books. Except for the messers down the back of the class, who are still 'acting the maggot'. I have written on my notepad that I must 'try harder' but I've learnt a lot from last year, am I will be better this year..
