Weight loss - smaller shoe size?!

This year I've slimmed down from a size 14 to a size 8 - am thrilled with the results! Despite the fact that NONE of my clothes fit me & I had to go buy a whole new wardrobe :( Great and all but something that is EXPENSIVE when you like clothes :)

Anyway, one thing I've really noticed with has annoyed the hell out of me - is my feet have shrunk aswell!!! From a 6 to a 5. None of my shoes fit me :( I'm currently doing Pennies & Dunnes to get shoes that fit me & replace some of my everyday shoes but some of my lovely expensive shoes are now too big - has anyone else had this problem when they lost weight? Not something I would ever had considered but I guess it makes sense!!

Congrats on the weight loss OP! I had this a couple of years ago when I lost weight, I dropped in size from an 8 to a 7. It was a pain at the time, because I loved so many of my shoes, but I'd rather be slimmer with new shoes so I got used to it!!

congrats on the weight loss! I've done something similar and slimmed from a 14 to an 8-10 since taking up running in January. I'm working hard now to get rid of the last few pounds to my target which will hopefully make me an 8!

I'm feeling your pain with the expense of buying new clothes! I keep having to put things away that are just far too big now. (I'm afraid to tempt fate by throwing them out). I'm trying to pick up a few key pieces each month but even that is hard as I am still losing at the moment. I've also had the same problem with a shoe size loss and am finding that insoles are no longer rectifying the problem! I'm going to have to pick up a few pairs for work soon. I definitely never realised how expensive this would all be but, I also didn't realise how fulfilled and happy I would feel with my much better lifestyle!!!!

Oh yes - I know the pain of wondering should you keep clothes or not aswell - I've tried taking in some clothes so I can keep some things but you do get 'the fear' that you are going to need them again! No negative thoughts though - right :)

So much happier with my new look & how I feel - even comfortable wearing flat shoes now, I never was before because I felt if I was in heels, I'd look taller/slimmer so its nice to buy flats aswell to add to the wardrobe!! But god yes - so expensive replacing stuff!!!

Yes, it happened to me. I was always a size 5 no matter what I weighed. After I lost about 20kg, I went down to a 4 and have remained there. Weird - my feet never looked fat!

Yep same thing for me. Actually, my rings and bracelets all being too big now is annoying me more than all the clothes & shoes :(

Happened me as well when I lost a significant amount of weight.

I never knew you could have fat feet, but there ya go!
