The Velocity bike is incorrectly listed - that model is the Peleton Pro with the Sora triple chainset. The one from Fitzcycles is the Peleton Race with the latest Shimano 105. Great bike, I bought the Race earlier this year with the old 105 for €1299, so great value also this year!

Spot on. Two totally different bikes. Very misleading to those that shop by product name rather than checking that the spec is identical in each shop. I suppose the standard E & OE excepted may apply here, but may catch some purchasers out.

I bought the 2014 Peleton Race from Fitzcycles. Great bike. I tried out one of their Stevens bikes as well but it felt far less comfortable.
They also do free servicing on it for life.(http://fitzcycles.ie/t/Workshop)
Doesn't include parts (you pay for new break pads etc.) but its handy to drop it in for a tune up every 6 months if you don't have a stand yourself.

I got the Peleton Race from Fitzcycles recently, they are selling quite a lot of them Mike said.

It's my first road bike so I cannot compare it to anything really, but it's really nice to ride. For €999 I couldn't fault it. Will see how it is after a couple of months.

Cube Agree GTC 2013 model here with Tiagra, can't complain. A handsome bike.

I too went for it via the BTW scheme.

    105 groupset is a minimum, I think.
Had the agree a great frame, better than aluminium, a very smooth ride on the road as with all carbon. It makes a difference for long distance. Have the peleton as well for a winter bike, Riding the cube litening blackline in the ' better time of year '.

Is the Agree much nice to cycle than the Peleton?

If there's not too much difference in price I'd choose a carbon frame with a lower groupset say, agree with 105 v peleton with ultegra. Carbon absorbs those bumpy surfaces better.
