Not just civil servants, private sector too. Which makes it seem like another BOI **** up. I'm with Ulster Bank and didn't get paid.

Ulster bank, didn't get paid either. 2nd month in a row this is ridiculous at this stage!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,240 ✭✭✭Kaizersoze81

F@cking ridiculous at this stage. Once should have been enough to ensure this never happened again.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,030 ✭✭✭adelcrowsmel

BOI and my wages are in this morning!

Seems that any company that banks with BOI their staff who bank elsewhere haven't been paid today. The government obviously bank with BOI too and that's why civil servants haven't been paid unless they are with BOI

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,836 ✭✭✭BigCon

No wages here either, private sector, PTSB

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15 mmch

    Very strange.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,146 ✭✭✭✭_Kaiser_

Mine was in by 6am.. private sector, AIB. Think it's either BOI or UB the company deals with

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 601 ✭✭✭aisling86

None here either....seems to be when there is a European or UK Bank Holiday the wages are delayed - absolute disaster....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15 mmch

Dept of edu, not gone into AIB, normally in early Thurs am. A chance for workers to beat the gov, but will they? No they,ll ring Joe Duffy instead.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14 nemo1702

Yeah looking like its a BOI issue. My employer banks with them too and I didnt get paid until about 1130 yesterday despite assurances from BOI to my employer that the funds had been put in but I bank with a different bank.

It's a pain now if this is going to happen every time!

Private Sector worker and Ulster Bank customer no wages :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,241 ✭✭✭MsBubbles

luckily our mortgage payment isn't due until 7th of the month but EBS are notorious for taking it out of the account a couple of days early but dating the payment the 7th. Fingers crossed this gets sorted by next week

Ulsterbank and wages are missing this morning.

    http://www.rte.ie/news/2014/0828/639847-boi-pay/
Bank of Ireland has said it is aware that a number of its customers have not received wages into their accounts this morning.

The bank said it is investigating the issue to see what the problem is.

It follows reports that a number of public sector workers did not get paid into their accounts today.

At the beginning of this month, Bank of Ireland confirmed that a technical glitch resulted in thousands of public and private sector employees not receiving their salaries and wages on time.

My employers are with BoI, get paid on second last working day of the month. Nothing in my bank (also BoI) so far, but sometimes it can be up to lunchtime. Fingers crossed...badly needed!!

I'm with PTSB and mine are there. My employer is with AIB. Public sector - medium sized Government agency.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 566 ✭✭✭Rose35

This is because of the new SEPA arrangements setup, I have been experiencing this for months now (private sector getting paid bi-weekly) payment usually arrives in by midday. Company banks with BOI and my bank AIB.

Firstly, the Central Bank should instruct Bank to commit and confirm publicly that no matter what they will honour debits and standing orders for Credit Cards, mortgages, and utilities. It is not unlicensed credit; it is the business risk of being in banking and the associated cost. Secondly : any contract Bank has for this services should have non-performance penalty clauses; probably doesn't but must now be put in place.

flutered they are incompetent and stupid because this keeps happening. It's becoming a regular occurance.

If i can transfer money between accounts online in a few minutes then surely a bank employee can do the same
Just checked my Ulster Bank account my wages are now in my account. Phew

Company payroll goes through BOI. I'm an AIB customer and my wages were there this morning as normal. I think the problem is affecting specific customers and it would appear to be the same ones that were affected the last time.

Let's be clear Bank Of Ireland is the Bank causing this problem again. Anybody with a BOI current account should already have moved to PTSB or EBS. I have no sympathy for BOI customers.

Trouble is when it's the company that are with the BOI. I'm with AIB but company is BOI so there's nothing the likes of me can do.

Not correct - we are with AIB but emplyer uses BOI - not much we can do! Just wait and hope we are part of the batch who get's paid today!

"Let's be clear Bank Of Ireland is the Bank causing this problem again"

I am correct and people should not be paying fee's to AIB,BOI,KBC or Ulster when they can switch to PTSB or EBS and very easily avoid all fees.

If you are a public servant in this country
    you work in permanent,pensionable,well
    paid employment.Thank your lucky stars
and stop bleating because the bloody cheque is a day late.Such a furore over
    a trivial issue.

Er - Not trivial at all. People will have set their DD's/SO's for today, thinking the salary will cover it. They haven't been paid, so the DD's will bounce. Then there'll be bank charges on top. Which the customer has to pay through no fault of their own. Hopefully, the charges will be waived.

Think before you post up nonsense.
