Couple of things are pointing to the return of the 'Tiger'.

A semi-d in Dublin on the market for €950,000 (from the Accommodation & Property forum).

Seen young kids getting into a stretch limo in Donegal yesterday, looks like these will be back on the roads in numbers soon.

Seen an advert for helicopter rides in Donegal.

Oh and I actually heard a 'wan' debating with herself (everyone else was ignoring her), whether she'd go shopping to New York this year.

The hideous red mat in the sitting room has probably knocked a few hundred k off the selling price.

I know of 2 people who've gotten calls from the bank recently asking if there's anything they can do for them

An email was sent around my workplace recently advising us of AIB being available for mortgage discussions at 8am. You can't get the feckers to be open a full working day any other time, but mortgages are different!

Rents/property prices are spiralling out of control in Dublin. People are being pushed out into neighbouring counties and forced to commute again

The god-awful phrase "get on the ladder" is making a return

Politicians are already planning a spending spree in advance of the 2016 GE

Yep.. Celtic Tiger 2 is well underway and we haven't learned a thing!

Had to buy sanitary ware recently. The attitude of the sales rep was that distinctive Celtic tiger air I remember of "stop wasting my time asking me questions and just buy it I have more to be doing than giving you a sales pitch and being nice to you"
Looks like we are going back to half arsed customer service of yester year!

Sweet Jesus I hope this doesn't make a comeback. If there's one thing that exudes tackiness it's some tangerine coloured young wans cruising around in one of those ugly limos on their debs and the like.

Anyone for a bit of decking?

The recession killed off the boyracer brigade.

No longer could lads quit school at 16 and pull an extremely good wage labouring on sites

I'll know the tiger is back when my ears are assaulted by souped up little Starlets and Glanzas.

This was hardly ever a sign of the good times. Decking costs fcuk all.

One of these threads starting every week is a good indication.

And the EBS not only holding mortgage information evenings around Dublin but taking out full page ads to let people know about them.

I've seen two or three very run down commercial properties around the city centre bought recently after being up for sale for about four years.

Throw another plasma TV on the fire...it's getting chilly!

    Something about decking.

Something about an apartment in Bulgaria.

    Something about credit cards.

Something about not living beyond my means.

    Please thank this post.

    Thx.

Let's start pouring concrete again and get ourselves out of the recession. Electricians and bricklayers will be earning more than doctors again soon.Give us ten good years and we'll start the cycle all over again... Boom,bust,boom,bust,boom...
