    Anyone using Ntbackup or have an idea why it might suddenly start to run much slower?

    Below is the log before the slowness problem - full normal backup - approx 500GB in 50 hours :

    So, 15 hours to complete 8GB compared to 5 hours to complete 35GB.

    The jobs are going to an external USB2 drive. I replaced this but it hasn't made any difference. Nothing in the Windows or Raid logs. No processes are peaking. No changes have been made to the machine that I can think to affect the backup like this.

    Would anyone have any ideas as to where the problem might lie?
