    Hi guys,

I have a second interview coming up for an SOC Analyst position. Has anyone here an insight to these roles. Is this more administration than configuration? I am working towards a CCNP would a stint in an SOC be useful for someone going down the cisco/networking route.

Any and all thoughts on the SOC would be greatly appreciated.

Doesn't sound super relevant to cisco/networking unless your CCNP is in security (and even then, it's a stretch). This seems like more of a CISSP or 'ethical hacker' kind of gig.
