CIT Computing Course Change

I was hoping someone could answer this question for me. I have just accepted a place for Web Development in CIT which was my third choice as I didn't get Software Development. After the first year it says that since the computing courses follow the same modules, is it possible to transfer from Web Development to Software Development as that is the course I have a bigger interest in?

I would say its possible looking at the modules for year 1 form each course:

Contact the computing department about it, I don't see why not. People will drop out of software development year 1 as well anyway.

EDIT: I know for computing course after doing the 3 years BSc ordinary, you can join software development starting in year 3 to get BSc honors in software development which would just extend the time it takes from 4 years to 5.
