Doing Applied myself, is it only 50 people doing these 3 courses in the whole of Ireland? I was looking forward to lectures with 200 people...

There will be modules that are mixes with other courses, for example in first semester, motion and energy and chemistry will both be joined by a number of engineering courses, which will have 200 students for those lectures.

Lectures with 200 people plus (I had one with up to 400 when I went to UCD) get old real fast. The smaller a lecture is the better really - it's a much better incentive to pay attention when you have a small class since it'd be obvious if you weren't. I way prefer my tiny classes in DCU personally!

I would definitely agree with Konata there now!

Ah the 200 student lectures. either someone stops it with an inane question that the material has covered or it turns into a circus. most of the time its awful farts from everyone being on the pop the night before.

Unless you're part of a team you have to use the sh*t gym

Join the Dublin City Council one in ballymun, it's 10 mins up the road from DCU. It's better value for money for the average gym goer.

DCU gym is not the best for the price they charge. €195 for the academic year.

I got slightly bored myself. Getting my ID card and meeting with the staff were the only useful things I did :pac:
