Soft close toilet seat not soft closing any more

    I've tightened the screws but that hasn't made any difference. The seat still soft closes but the lid doesn't.

    Any ideas?

    AS you look at the seat, is their a gap (few mm) between the lid and seat at the hinge?

    Often this happens, and means that its not engaging fully, and closes dead weight.

    A picture might help.

    Yes there looks like a couple of mms of a gap. I can't see a way to get the lid and seat down any further though?

    Post count too low to posts pics I think?
