Delaying period on holiday

    Hi,

Just looking for a bit advice please :)

I'm going on holidays in November and during that time I'll have my period. I want to delay it but I have never done it before. I'm on the pill so I heard that you can take two packets together in order to delay it. However, I heard that spotting can happen which I don't want happening either!! So, I'm just wondering, does spotting usually happen the first time you delay your period or would it just happen if you were delaying it for over a month (i.e. 2/3 months).

I know everyone's bodies react differently but I'm just interesting in hearing everyone's experiences :)

Also, I had an idea that maybe I could delay my period the next time I get it instead of waiting until November. Has anyone does this? By the time November comes around, the original week of my period will have changed to a different week, won't it? Or will my body be a bit messed up from taking two packets at once that it will take time to regulate itself again?

I'm just a bit confused if it would be better to delay it now or just wait until November when I'm away?

Thanks everyone, I appreciate any advice :)

Hi there OP and welcome to boards,

I'm afraid we can't advise what to do here, it falls into the category of medical advise which isn't allowed.
Best thing you can do is have a quick word with your GP or pharmacist, they'll put you right.

    Sauve.
