Just got in ulloa , some decent fixtures for Leicester coming up

Hes already flying towards a second rise, approx 4 times the NTI of both Welbeck and Pelle. Be interesting to see if he can make 0.3 this week.

I brought him in partly for this reason.

Made that move last week along with Bertrand for Debuchy as free transfers :)

Great minds think alike......... or fools seldom differ.......... one or the other, did Bertrand move last week and the Ulloa one this week.

I was about to go into a Hulk rage over Ramsey dropping and then I realised it doesn't affect me as he was 9.1.

    Phew :o

You have no idea the urge I'm fighting to just type "Lyk dis if yhoo cryed" :pac:

But I'm sound like that :P

Seriously though a wounded Ramsey is a dangerous Ramsey and the disrespect he's been shown scares the bejebus out of me if I ditch him. I think I'm currently subject to Stockholm Syndrome. Sterling needs to come in though if I'm playing the game the boring way

Planning on getting di maria and clyne in for ramsey and ivanovic. Last nights rises obviously werent very kind to me. Cant bring myself to make a transfer before a full round of midweek games unless i absolutely have to, hopefully clyne and di maria slow down a bit now, though id be amazed if di maria didnt rise again soon

It's tough to rise twice in a week. I'd be nearly surprised if he does rise again before Saturday!

Di Maria did it last week I tthink. Still two or three doing it most weeks.

I'd be very surprised if ADM and Ulloa don't do it this week. Maybe Clyne as well. Pelle and Welbeck outside chance.

That's mostly gut from the general pace of nti's and having watced it closely last week on my wildcard.

    Major moves were..
    Clyne, Di Maria up
    Ramsey down

Another price rise to note was Ulloa....

Incidentally. Did some screen grabs on the price rise sites last night, and just noticing now that FPL Statistics got it spot on. The three above were the only rises.

Total FPL and FISO are good for showing the amount of transfers in but their %s are way off yet.

    6034073

    They predict no rises tonight.

They predicted Wisdom to rise as well, although his was only marginally above 100%

    Big price movement last night

    Up in price......
    Welbeck
    Pelle
    Schneiderlin
    Wisdom
    Taylor

Loads dropped including Mata and Naismith

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,675 ✭✭✭HighClass

Glad I shifted Naismith before he dropped. Have Taylor & Wisdom, doing pretty well with rises so far this season.

You must have been up later than me. :)

Wisdom went last night, but they were way off on welbeck and Pelle this time.

Predictions sites are all over the place this year :(. They're fast becomng completely useless.

With the new rules, the people who played their WC during the first international break are getting burnt each day a bit more by the price changes. There was almost no movement for 2 weeks and since there was major changes to some key areas of anyone's team like 3rd striker spot and 4th main midfielder.

It's annoying to feel you have (almost) no control on the game anymore. Killing a lot of interest personally...

I still prefer it this way.

Can't say that I do, however it's still possible to try to increase team value, it's just a lot harder. It will be interesting to see if it does actually benefit 'casual' play, as I'm not convinced it will. I think a higher than average team value may be an even rarer commodity and therefore more of an advantage. Possibly.

What exactly is the difference this year? I see people taking about "the difference" a lot here without any explanation.

Fpl site has removed the hidden info the price tracking sites used to predict price changes.
They've had to work off the transfers in /transfers out page to try and predict changes but it is far less reliable.

I wonder when the mass migration from Siggy is going to happen. I never had him so wont effect me but I can see some people cashing in while theyre up.

by the way, how has chester not gone down yet!!! I have him and have been expecting him to drop since GW3

Well he's risen quite a bit, so I'd say people will be holding on for a while yet. It's risky to get rid of him - might cost a lot more to get him back in if you need to at a later stage.

He's played Chelsea and Southampton in his last 2 games - both good teams, so I'm not worried about him yet. He has 4/5 good fixtures coming up so will definitely be hanging on to him for those.

What I think it does is take away your focus from transfers for the sake of value in $ terms to transfers for the sake of value in points terms.

Rightly or wrongly, in previous seasons i was more likely to transfer earlier in a week because of rises/falls, or go for a bandwagoner more for the $ than for the fact I think the player will continue to score highly.

Now I'm more inclined to get in players purely on form and upcoming fixtures. Obviously it's still very very early days understanding how it will affect this season, but as it stands I think it's working well.

Do people reckon it was the FPL site getting annoyed that other sites were predicting their moves?

Nice, had all in my WC except Pelle due to constraints. Schneiderlin double rise for a 0.1m bank would be sweet.

Yeah its still a work in progress it seems. Or just quite possibly the FPL code-minion messing with our heads and having a right old laugh at our expense.

Personally, what a difference a couple of days makes. Made a treble transfer on Sunday: Ferdinand Rambo and Naismith out, Wisdom ADM and Welbeck in. 0.2 left in the bank. Had I waited til today to make those 3 transfers, I would be 0.2 short

Hull have reverted to playing 2 centre backs - I think Chester has just lost his starting place!

@IK09 its funny you mention that about having expected him to drop, there's been a few strange ones alright - likewise Bruce (the 4.0 def of choice GW1) has been heavily transferred out every day for quite a time now, yet somehow remains on 4.0. How bizarre!

I'm inclined to agree - last season it felt more like playing the stock market than it did fantasy football - but this system is pretty imperfect in itself. While I'm happier with less of a chaotic fluctuation in prices, I do wish it was a little bit more transparent.
