No 'twas an old fella out in a trailer selling rams. Few pictures would be great thanks. Bought hoggets too I'll run a Suffolk with them alright I'd say, would leave nice replacents.

I have always let the Suffolks with hoggets no more than problems than main flock best ewe lambs are very much sought after hope this helps.

Crazy money for hoggets you'd wonder would you make money at all giving €160+ for them again you add up annual maintenance costs?

Great to see sheep with clean arses.

Was there yesterday, bought those pens at 150 & 152 if that's correct. I think the hoggets and lambs tbh were the best standard I ve seen at the sale which might have added to prices. Lambs very good trade, but good quality available between 110 to 140

How did these work out for you Cran?
I'm thinking of going to balinrobe this year, but i cant see myself paying over €160 for a hogget.
I bought 6 mules hoggets for €125 in a local mart 2 years ago and i've had 22 lambs from them in 2 years going by my records (no triplets)
So would like to buy another pen of mules. Might see some at the mart again before the balinrobe sale.

Grand same as other years, hard to track individual bought pens here when enter out into the flock but overall good as always. Very happy with the ewe lambs and hopefully buy from same breeder this year if can...
I'd say under 160 will be a tough one this year for hoggets, ewe lambs are a good trade so will feed into the hoggets I think
