    Owen and Punk hands down

Owen expels another huge name in Rowdy Roddy Piper. CM Punk brushes aside the Wild Man Marc Mero. Almost finished the first round of the looking at the brackets we have three triple threat bout and two "one-on-one". I'll save the two one-on-one fights to close the round they are both doozses.

First triple threat I'm guessing is a bit of a gimme.

Almost voting for Chyna, def not for Muraco considering who he is up against, cos I would associate him not foremost with the IC I dont think Austin will win this whole thing but this match up he takes for me and as said his feud with Owen (who I wouldnt have wanted to vote against but personally I woulda went for Piper) for example was great.

    so... SCSA

Austin makes it through unsurprising. Chyna gets a lot of love seem is very credited her run was entertaining. Totally credible and over as hell. I guess it's a pity she met Austin first round. Two of Austin's sparring buddies next. Santino and Bret take on Rocker No.2

I think Bret will go through here

I am voting Santino. odd I know but on a personal note I loved Santinos time as the IC champion including his debut as the Milan Marvel winning the belt from YouManga to the awesome Honk a meter and I think Santino should not suffer a whitewash even in a triple threat that includes Bret

edit: ha I spent so long typing my reason Santino got another vote and there could be an upset on the cards, this tournies Head Cheese?

Bret. He brought a level of prestige, match quality and recognition to the IC title that no one else has ever done.

Santino's run was very entertaining but it pales to the Hitmans.

    Marty! The better rocker :pac:

No but seriously I vote for Bret. The best IC champ ever in my opinion.

Tempted to go Santino but the US Title was bouncing around then too.

Bret had the IC strap when it was for the workhorse/technician and had great bouts with Mr Perfect, Piper and British Bulldog. So Bret.

Bret gets the win but only having got quite the scare form Santino. I heard cries of Headcheese but I think that is being unfair to Santino. The bloke took the IC title and ran. I could easily argue that some of WWE's funniest moments EVER came from IC champ Santino.

Have 7 more combatants left to do battle in the first round. I will save the Triple Threat and allow the night owls to saver two crackers.

Warrior by a mile. Gave so much prestige to the title with the match at mania VI.

    No contest it's Jeff J-A-Double R-E-Double T

I know I should be remain fair and impartial but I gotta give Shawn a vote.

The title made him-he made the title. People talk of a title looking "right" with somebody. I think IC title I think HBK.

Chalk another point for Jarrett. Naff gimmick form the 90s but I liked it.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 23,152 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

    Warrior and Jarrett

UW for me just stands out as one of those uber important IC champs afterall he was the one who ended the Honk a Tonk a Man's run, Shawn obviously had a significant run but it just stands out less for me when compared to other things he did and Warriors IC reign for some reason

and well Im not a Valentine fan... although I am a head cheese fan so only respect was meant for Santino previously :pac:

Douchey HBK and his ladder match exploits were arguably just as significant as Warriors contributions so I'm gonna go Shawn.

Jeff Jarrett over Valentine. Man that guy sucked.

HBK, for the same reason as Bret. I know UW did great things with the title too but HBK had better matches.

Jarrett, easiest vote ever. He was great as IC Champ. It just fit him.
