ok its better mood here since we hit august.

So after silage and tillage and turf is done. and most spring calving herds dried off how about a meet and greet or xmass party night

It will make a nice opportunity for people to meet up. I suppose it will also make people trust each that bit more

So whats your input? None commercial and the members organise it?

Would you come to a F&F Beers/Meet up (Lovely Farmers Contest) 48 votes

Them were the days of drinking for 3.
Doesn't be long turning into "you'll have to drive, sure I'm making up for lost time"

Someone said once of Offaly men, that you wouldn't drive them with an iron bar but you'd lead them with a thread.

If alcohol is involved ALL bets are off:D

But anyway, it would be a pretty cool idea. I dunno where the easiest to meet would be, Athlone? Somewhere central like that?

Only place I know is the Hudson Bay hotel, crashed a CreditUnion christmas party there before! Nice place though.

Is it a casual thing do you know or are they actually going out? Look, each to their own (literally), I've no problem with it. The best of good luck to the two of them. From the sounds of it , they make a lovely couple.

I should have copped it sooner when Reggie said ' I'll pop into lakill' at Tullamore show. Being a bit slow myself l didn't realise he meant pop in pop in.

Iakill seemingly started 'pitching a tent' when he seen Reggie yesterday, then Reggie helped knock his tent down for him!! Bless

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,174 ✭✭✭✭Muckit

I heard a few kads joined in then and tried to get lakill's tent up again. There was supposed to be loads of others just looking on. 'Dogging' l think they call it

Would we have to say who we are? Or let everyone guess? Would be some confusion.

From reading bits here I think irish distillers and Guinness should be pre warned of having drink ready for it.

Surely there'd be checked shirts and jeans, something similar to Garth Brooks style!
