    Match thread.

Big gulf in quality between the two teams, I'd be surprised if Monaghan can keep the gap below 10 points.

Dub fans always give themselves away when one of their players fist passes a goal :D

This is a very poor Dublin display in all fairness, the bench will be needed.

He's terrible to listen to for live action commentary. He seems to kill the momentum of the commentary.

    Nice goal there

I disagree with the ref's interpretation of the advantage rule for Brogan's free. The advantage was used in Brogan being able to take the shot.

Well taken goal but how many steps did McCarthy take there? at least 8 or 9 surely?

Joe Brolly is shocking. Sounds like he is doing his commentary from the pub. Rambling................

Think I'll turn this off. Better ways to spend a Saturday afternoon than watching this one way traffic!

Can any team stop this Dublin team this year?

    No. Or next year either

And the first to go should be Rachel...

Her voice is grating my nerves...:(

2-8 to 0-5 at the half..... not going to get much better for Monaghan in the second half I suspect

Something cold and insincere about her.

Bernard Brogan must be raking it in....

he's after being on 2 ads there during the break.

Judging by her LLS appearance it's a wonder Cian's horse didn't get frostbite as well....

Well I was listening to the commentary beforehand on NT with Dave McIntyrne, Parkinson and Sean Kavanagh... The contrast is unbelievable... Radio one sounds sedate, the match seeming just a peripheral event in the background...

I wonder does Joe Brolly ever get sick of playing the "smart ar$e kid down the back of the class".. RTE should have dropped him a long time ago, simply for his lack of respect he shows for the job that they have given him.

It's like she's aware of it too and tries to warm up only adding to the discomfort.

Is it just me or is Senan moving his seat closer to Rachel as the day is going on :D

    Hard to blame him though

Monaghan expended a lot of energy holding back the blue tide and looked visibly tired at the end of the first half. The Dubs have finally got into their stride and will probably be kicking points for fun by the last quarter. Hard to see a way back for Monaghan but they need goals and quickly.

I saw the Kildare game last week and I was hugely disappointed with her... and the coverage in general...

They should have robbed Joanne Cantwell or Evanne Ní Chuilín... i.e. a good looking girl who actually KNOWS something about the game.

I think Duffy's been poor but the games over anyway. Monaghan needed to stop the goals to have a chance and they did well for 25 mins, they've been leaving space in the FB line all day though.

Expect Donegal to bring the blanket of all blankets in the semi.

Monaghan heads have already dropped not a good sign.Hard to believe the first Dublin goal was their first score from play for over 20 mins.

I don't actually care about someones looks, you're very shallow CH.....:p:p:p:D

Joanne or Evanne would wipe the floor with Rachel for knowledge...I'd prefer to keep them here where we appreciate them!

But, then again, Rachel never kissed and told about Cian did she?....and considering who his Godfather was and his role in the media, it's my conspiracy there was a nice handy number for Rachel...But, of course, that could be totally wrong....;)

Poor Pauraic Lodge (on RTE Radio 1 Commentary) doesn't know what to say to Joe Brolly at this stage...

Joe groans for 30 seconds everytime something happens. Just told Pauric Lodge he needs to look for a new job. The embarassed slience lasted about minute. Says now the Monaghan subs should refuse to play!

Juts saw the doctor being pushed over by the Armagh player.Really disappointing to see sh1te like that go on.

How anyone can defend that is beyond me. I've never liked Brolly as a pundit I've always found him rather sneering and disrespectful plus he has a very boring and monotonous voice and his manners in the studio are shocking as well.

Brolly enjoys playing the scut but he's forgotten more about football than most here know.

Dublin have been a bit too causal with their shooting, suppose they can afford to be.
