Surfing lessons / kayaking Mayo

Looking for advice. Staying in Castlebar next weekend and teenage kids looking for surfing / kayaking activities. Maybe 1 hr drive from castlebar. Thanks for suggestions.

Check out paddleandpedal.ie. Based in Ballina, about 40 mins drive from Castlebar, though one of the tours on offer is Lough Conn and Lough Cullin which is even closer to Castlebar. It's only a short drive from here to Enniscrone if you want to go surfing.

For surfing you have Achill Surf at Keel in Achill or Surf Mayo at Carrownisky in Louisburgh. Clew Bay Bike Hire in Westport do kayaking (Achill Surf also does kayaking I think).
