The docile population. Could say that about a lot of the world though.

The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

The lack of chippers in Dublin city centre. Imagine a Macari's sit-in chipper instead of one of the TWO McDonald's and Burger Kings on O'Connell St. That be amazing.

The same thing it's been since the foundation of the state - secrecy, gombeenism and entrenchment within the apparatus of said state.

The only way to measure this objectively is to look at the size of the headlines and images on the front page of breakingnews.ie.

This means the biggest problem in Ireland at the moment is "Dana and sister 'in physical confrontation' in US toilet".

The lack of a single public toilet in Dublin which is the main cause of the aforementioned reek.

    Pessimism

    Begrudgery

Band Wagons such as All politicians- are-corrupt, all bankers-are-evil and all -priests-are-paedophiles.

    All these rent-a-protests

Equating 'No jobs in my sector' with 'No jobs full stops' and so not being willing to think outside the box.

people who think just because they were on 60k per year in the boom should be on it now. They would rather sit at home and moan then go out and find a job they think is beneath them

Self Entitlement, seems to be systemic in ireland. you do not deserve anything in life, you earn it.

Too many free-loaders in this country and not enough work ethic. Irish people with work ethic and drive can rule the world. We are fiercely smart and resourceful when we want to be.

The rest are just lazy so and so's and don't add anything to society.

Jesus, I sound like my father!
