I don't do much night life I am too old

A friend of my of similar vintage was telling about going to her nieces hen night which was all going really well until they were retuning to the hotel they were staying at, they were randomly attacked by some other girls/women the whole thing was very upsetting, anyway its apparently called a posh beating and it seems to consist of some "scumbag women" choosing to attack well spoken well dressed woman on nights out. The whole thing sounds so bizarre I was wondering if it a common or not.

I know it silly but I am always more shocked by female violence.

I've never heard of it tbh. I've seen scummy women attacking other people for no reason (I've actually had it happen to me), but never specifically scummy people attacking well spoken women.

I wonder have we become more excepting of low level violence in society look at all the stories of woman being shouted at in the street.

This has actually happened to me before. It was terrifying. I was outside a cinema with a couple of my girlfriends, totally minding our own business looking at listings and discussing what movie to watch. I was aware of a couple of people around us but thought they were just going to look for money, got a slap in the face and spat at.
