Yes as long as you're access subscription is still active you will have the full games. Enjoy

NBA Live 16 is now in the vault. Just load up the trial and it will convert to the full game.

I'm trying to install a game in the vault, but it's still prompting me to join EA access, pay for the subscription etc.

What am I missing here? Doesn't the free access mean I should be able to install and play for free for this period?

I went to the Xbox store, found FIFA and can install it that way without having to go into the ea access app

Cheers, searching for the games in the store does the trick.

Quite possible that it goes into automatic renewal after the free days are up. You could be getting charged for it now.

So $5 is a subscription for a month, right? And is it available for a year?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,705 ✭✭✭JoyPad

It's €3.99 per month or €24.99 per year. See here.

I was actually just about to purchase Unravel in the ultimate game sale. Glad I held out.

It's actually ridiculous what good value it is, you'd wonder if EA even realise!! Don't know how anyone could buy an EA game post-launch these days, even on sale. I get sometimes you're going to be dead set on buying certain games when they launch but christ, anything outside of that you're better off just waiting a few months.

From a business/accounting point of view, subscriptions are seen as way better than just plain sales. That's why Microsoft office has gone that way, Photoshop as well.

Still though, incredible value. I wonder if prices in the UK will go up now because of this whole brexit thing.

Ya, I guess the big downside with Access is you don't own the games so if you stop the subscription they're gone.

At €25 a year its a steal IMO, especially for the sports side, usually pay €60 for the new FIFA or madden and by the time I trade them in value us usually 28/30€, I'm happy to wait the few months from the initial release

Ah yes, they usually step it up around August as that's around the time the first Subs are due for their annual renewal.
Easy decision for me. It's well worth it.

(Although if only I hadn't just bought Unravel.... d'oh! :))

They still have a massive number of day one purchasers for their yearly games.

Maybe a tiered ea access might be on the horizon. 100 quid for the top tier, a release day vault. Move away from hard copies, no printing/distribution costs. No 2nd hand market.

Amazing, been waiting for NFS and PvZ (I loved the first one) but didn't expect to see them so soon

Unravel is a great game too.

The fact that Unravel is going to be on EA Access so soon after launch confirms my belief that buying an EA game upon release is now pointless. My backlog is such that I'll always have something to play until a new EA game becomes old enough to appear in the vault.

Time to renew my sub I think.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 211 ✭✭B_Sharp

I'll probably buy Battlefield 1 on launch and had I not moved to PES, I probably would be getting FIFA every year on launch but other than that, I don't see the point either. Only drawback is with multiplayer games, like Battlefront. The online scene for that could be pretty sparse by the time it hits the vault, although I suppose it'll get a bit of a boost from all the Access members checking it out.
