It takes a lot of guts and a streak of madness to be a whistleblower, I've huge admiration for Kimmage and his fellow journalist, David Walsh.

The mad thing is that Kimmage has now fallen out with Walsh.

I loved that line from his father - "Paul was born perfect in an imperfect world"

He's such an intense person. More admirable than likeable.

There seems to be no sign of a disagreement in this documentary. So far David Walsh has made very positive contributions about Kimmage and his work.

As my Dad would say - "He'd fight with his own shadow".
    I'm enjoying this documentary.

I can't take cycling seriously. It's too tainted for me.

Cycling is more popular than ever. When I'm out walking in the evenings and the weekends, the roads are full of people cycling in their hi-viz gear.

I'm beginning to realise why Brian O'Driscoll didn't want him to ghost-write his autobiography after all.......

It's always been tainted; from the days of Tommy Simpson and even before that.

Jesus this programme is drawn out.

Most RTE documentaries feel inadequate and short and tend to end abruptly. This one is on the opposite end of the scale. It's on until 11:15...

Happy days, when Charlie Haughey won the Tour de France.

I cycle. I have a road bike and a commuter. I do it for fitness and to clear the head.

I have zero interest in the tour or Cycling. The achievements are too touched for me to celebrate.

Huge respect for Paul Kimmage and his work, but I didn't enjoy the documentary - found it a bit self indulgent and boring.

I think he won Eurovision twice as well.

Very good documentary. Kimmage comes across as very holier than thou but I admire him for standing up to Lance Armstrong's bullying

For most of the documentary I thought Kimmage came across as holier than thou and would pick a fight with his own shadow, a blinkered man on a crusade.
But as he spoke about Tom Simpson and the 20 or so young men who had died in the 90's AFTER he wrote Rough Ride, I realised that he lived and worked among these people. It's all very personal. He's looking at it from having been on the inside. He sees it as been rotten to the core, dishonest and costing people their lives... for what?
He's frustrated at the blatant cheating and the governing bodies are supporting it by looking the other way.

He is a man on a crusade, but someone has to say something. At least he knows what he's talking about.
