Stud dog

    Quick one for ye lads . would u feel a dog is to old to use as a stud dog at 12 years. He is still full of life more like a 6 year old dog.But do ye think he'd be up to the job. ?

    They say a dog at a year old is basically 7 years old which means he'd be 84 years old in dog years. Doubt his swimmers are still there mate.

    AFAIK, dogs never become infertile.

    O they do! Seen it with a Jagd terrier around 12 or 13 years old! Tried to breed him with a bitch before he kicked the bucket, no pups, so tried to take straws, and he turned out infertile!

    I'm sure it happens often with old dogs!
