Like in public? A fellow boardsie tried to openly discuss boards with me this eve. Luckily I segwayed the conversation away quickly

I would admit to it but I wouldn't tell anyone my user name. :)

Of course the minute that I mentioned that I was Canadian everyone would have me figured out. :P

Cycling back into work this evening I saw a guy with a "boards.ie" cycling costume. I was on my bike too. We were at some traffic lights, and i felt like saying something but that would probably have been weird.

That story sounded more interesting in my head…

No, I don't really think about it but wouldn't hide it.

I'm on boards.ie but I'll won't go into The Blackbird pub Rathmines but I'd admit that too. Guess that makes me the one to stick his neck out.

    I use it as a chat-up line.

    "I have a boards account!"

    "Sorry, excuse me?"

"Are ya comin' back to mine for a mount?"

What's this now, more urban slang to say you avoided an uncomfortable situation, well played.

Wouldn't bother me who knew I was or not.

I know a few around here that are boardsies but I don't think they know I know.

    *waves* :)

I don't drop it into conversation but if it's mentioned, I wouldn't deny it.

Most of my friends know I'm on boards and think I'm weird anyway :P

Wouldn't bother me in the slightest! Why would it? Most people are on the Internet anyway and I can guarantee boards is quite tame to what is being looked up!

What we need is a boards code word. That way if you suspect someone of being a boardsie, you can surreptitiously drop it into conversation...

Secret handshake would be better. Then we show our boards t-shirts and have a very brief and awkward conversation about what forums we use.
