On this week's show, Miriam will be talking to a legendary country music superstar who was due to play five nights this week at Croke Park. I am of course, talking about Nathan Carter.

I'd say the wheels fairly came off his wagon when that was cancelled...

How much more airtime can be devoted to 'the concerts that didn't happen'...
Shane Filan will no doubt be along to tell us, in turn, about his disappointment. I think I read somewhere he was to be a support act also.

Just heard Paul Kimmage on with Joanne Cantwell on Radio One Sport earlier... There is a documentary about him being shown on Monday night (I think), so he is doing the rounds at the moment to promote that... Kimmage is a very dour, negative man .... but he's always usually box office when it comes to saying some controversial / blunt / interesting... A bit like Roy Keane..

Even today with Joanne, he started to lose the head a bit when talking about Sean Kelly's recent autobiography. He was astounded that Kelly never mentioned anything about drug use in the sport at all... He was also hugely critical of Stephen Roche's assertion that Lance Armstrong should not have been stripped of all of his Tour De France titles..

And sure why wouldn't Kimmage say that??.....

He (Kelly) never heard of anything about drug abuse in his own sport??....Ostrich beckons me thinks....

Kelly must have either been in the clouds or Kimmage just calls a spade a spade??...

Oh and just one more thing on Kimmage.. He sensationally resigned as the ghost writer of Brian O'Driscoll's autobiography in January of this year...

‘I felt he was being unreasonable’ — Paul Kimmage reveals the reason he quit Brian O’Driscoll book

Wonder will Miriam ask him about this?

Miriam will also be talking to the t-shirt and hat sellers, the chip van owners and the women from Moore street selling five lighters for a euro, as they're also feeling very disappointed.

No...we Welsh have always been a decadent bunch!

That, and the fact that there was nothing else in the house to drink, resulting in a rummage in the back of the cupboards!

Amazing how Armstrong tried to use/abuse the illness of cancer instead of making an admission to drugs in cycling, he had the whole of the press conference eating out of his hand with the rentaclap at the end...

I cannot stand anyone cheating in sports - what about all the real true young athletes out there?...cheaters....should be banned for ever imo....no place in sport....

And RTE still can't let the GB thing go.........

Me neither, should be a lifetime ban for anyone who is caught cheating unless it can be conclusively prooved without doubt someone interfered with their food/medicine/drink etc. Some of the excuses are as dodgy as you can get "ohh I took some cough medicine, that caused it", on examination you would need about 3 litres of it to give the reading they got for the test

    "Lovely audience"...

I've never heard anybody come on and say "the audience are a shower of b*stards"

Though Kimmage is on the show later so I'm not gonna say it'll never happen.

It would be better if they got all the Garth fans on board those 10 ships and torpedoed them ;)

Hopefully that's a genuine Irish tan she has.

Freaked myself didn't take advantage of the hot weather for a nice farmers tan, looks like it's over now, would have only needed about an hours worth for a good burn.
