Haven't seen this one here, ever.

With all the people complaining about some cars, I came up with the idea for this thread

What is the worst car you have ever driven?

Mine's gotta be the 2007 Toyota Corolla Verso 2.2 D4D. Totally gutless off the line, loud, driveability close to zero.
Although I did like the armrest.

Talbot Avenger new in 1978. Every car since has been an improvement. Avenger suffered so much wind noise, you couldn't hear the radio at 70mph.

2009 Chevrolet Kalos I am currently driving until the end of the month. Gutless, noisy, slow piece of spit welded tinfoil American / Korean crap!

    Daewoo Lanos, without doubt.

    No positive characteristics whatsoever!

Fiat Punto 1.7 straight diesel car. Worst car ever.

    A 1996 Ford Fiesta.
The biggest pile of ****e I'd ever had the misfortune of owning.
Slow, wobbly around corners, worst brakes I'd ever used and the rattle from the engine will haunt me until I die.
I was glad to see the back of it.

    Polo 9n with a 1.2 3 cylinder 6v 54 bhp engine.....I have a hatred for 99.9% of VAG cars as a result (the 0.1% is the likes of Tossy's S3)

Skoda Felicia. Rental car there recently - It was bloody awful!

The only car I couldn't wait to get out of was an old model Fiat Panda, it just felt dangerous. I'm sure it was that particular car rather than Pandas in general though.

See one of these around where I live. Horrendous looking yoke.

Early 2000s Ford Ka. I remember I got one as a loaner car while my car was being repaired, and being absolutely scared ****less the first time I took a gentle bend at 30mph and the car feeling like it was going to tip over! Such a horrible little car to drive.

Girlfriend used to have a 2000 1.4 Polo which wasnt exactly a joy to drive either. Nothing wrong with it per se; I just always felt that it was severely underpowered for a 1.4.

Third generation Fiat punto, hateful piece of sh1t.

Peugeot 3008 1.6 diesel with one of those automated manual boxes. Car itself was grand, bit slow but fine for what it was. That gearbox was so slow and jerky it made it extremely uncomfortable to drive. Couple that with it being extremely dim witted and it was dangerous if you weren't used to it.

The most disappointing was a Fiat 500. Thought it would be a cool car to take on a road trip around Northern Italy but if anything it was boring and detached. I was expecting a lot better. Herself loved it though.

Also in the mix is a 1.2 Corsa. Hateful turd of a car. So slow, soft and floaty I understand now why nuns drive as they do.

I have the opposite opinion of the Kas i've driven. I loved the handling of a mk1 Ka. Like a little gokart. Stuck to the road in corners. :)

Worst car (van) was a 01 Caddy SDI. Hated it. Crashed it twice too.

Get the diesel engine and they are nippy car to drive.

Opel Astra - early 2000s model - not mine luckily.

Bland everywhere and the gearbox was a guessing game when trying to go up or down the gears. No other redeeming features at all.

Actually, my sister currently has a 2005 Almera, same as above.

I learned to drive in a newish 1999 Punto (1st Gen one), now that was a great little car.

Probably a Kia Sedona 2.9 CRDi - It's what I imagine driving a tank is like.

Thankfully I've never suffered too badly with all the cars I've driven!

Had the same experience in a 508. I think that would put autobox-lovers off automatic! Flappy paddles as well, which still shift gears every half a century.

    A 98 Toyota Camry 2.2

It was the slowest, wurst handling car I have ever had the misfortune of driving. The suspension was so soft that it was bordering on dangerous, it understeered at even a hint of a bend and was completely gutless in all gears. The car was highly maintained and serviced and so wasn't a clapped out banger.

They were a huge success in America, weren't they?

    Says it all really

Id actually love to go back and drive the 96 Punto that I started in. At the time I thought it was great because it was the first car that I was able to drive on the road, but 12 years and several Hondas later Id love to see what I thought of it now!

Lexus rx400h , better to drive than most small hatchbacks but so dissapointing for what it is , its v6 petrol and torquey electric motors promised so much but with so many stability systems and battery weight the thing didnt accelerate well at all , absolutely 0 feedback through the steering wheel and in corners it was worse than my d-max by a mile. It felt more like the car was driving you

65166.jpg Too much power and crappy road holding, as to how i survived owning one of these is still one of my personal mysteries :)

Ford Escort Mk 3 1980. A terrible terrible car - raucous CVH engine, auto choke hell, rock hard ride, sloppy handling. Ugh!

Suzuki Swift 1.3 mid 90s - gutless and thirsty. Luckily it was a rental.

I recently rented a Megane diesel. Horrible, horrible gearbox, soft brakes and shíte interior really put me off this brand.

I felt a little sick in my mouth.
That model was in Japan in 2001 and comes out here to replace better looking almera.
