Easiest way to remove dead cells??

What is the easiest way to get all those dead skin cells off your face and body. I often use the friction of rubbing my fingers against my face, and then rubbing my fingers together to get the dirt to fall off. I often do this after the gym or sauna when lots of it seem to have accumulated. But this takes a long time to get it all off.

In the sauna, I find that the dead cells rub off more easily, and of course you'd be surprised how much there would be to come off. This can take a long time too and may long a bit odd rubbing yourself in the sauna!

I remember before, some sales lady in a mall in America was trying to sell me some creams(one for my face, and one for the body) that you could rub on your skin, and it would dissolve with all the dirt and thereby remove it. She demonstrated it on me, and even though I was just after a shower, there was still dirt to come off.

Has anyone ever heard of something like this? and might it be bad for your skin because it's so powerful? It $70 for both, and it seemed so much easier than all that rubbing I have to do!! I didn't buy it though because I thought there might have been some home remedy equivalent of this(like sugar and salt), but I wouldn't really be satisfied until I can see that DIRT come off!!!!!

Unless you're coming into contact with a lot of dirt (gardening/construction work etc.), you shouldn't be expecting to see so much dirt and skin coming off you. You're probably doing an awful lot of damage to your skin with all that rubbing.

Soap and warm water is sufficient to get most dirt off your body. Soap dissolves dirt. Dead skin cells will always be on your body, there's nothing wrong with them and you don't need to rub them all off. You can use exfoliants as well, but you shouldn't use them every day.

I use an exfoliating face wash once a week. That's one of those gels that has little particles in it that scrape dead cells off your skin, plus they'll usually have chemicals in them that aid in the removal of skin/dirt. As for my body I use exfoliating gloves. These are rough gloves you wear on your hands and then use them to wash yourself in the shower. I'd only do that every once in a while.

Failing going for chemical peels all the time, I think you need to accept that there's always some dirt/dead skin on your body.

No offence dude, but you sound a bit like Howard Hughes here. Sweating and showering works just fine for removing bits of shedded skin. If it didn't, you'd be walking around looking like the The Thing made of dead epidermal cells.

yes, but they're there after the shower. The shower I take after the sauna seems to only bring them to the surface!

So spare me your unhelpful predictable comments

Table salt is excellent for scrubbing, it will exfoliate the living sh1t out of you.

Or sugar mixed with olive oil. I find the sugar doesn't dissolve as quick. OP you can get cheap exfoliating gloves in the pound shops, just squeeze a bit of shower gel on them and they will give an extra scrub as you lather up.

That or any shower body scrubber thing will do.

It's not dirt actually. It's definitely skin, as it's white in colour

As rubadub suggested, a loofah. Mix it with shower gel and use all over your body. You can get them in Tesco, Dunne's etc.

You shouldn't be removing so much of your skin you can actually see it. You're going to do a lot of damage that way, and could be risking a nasty infection.

I don't think so as it doesn't require a lot of friction to get it off... especially in the sauna where it comes off really easy!

My cells just probably multiply at a fast rate!

Do you know how to give yourself a good scrub in the shower or are you merely standing there under the water?

OP, if you're actually serious and not just trolling in a particularly ridiculous way, I'd recommend a visit to your GP, because you sound like you may have a medical condition or an unhealthy compulsion.

The irony of calling someone stupid and spelling stupid wrong!

This thread is almost as f*cked up as that muscle worship business a while back.
