I've a clucking hen that might leave her eggs for about an hour at the most after a few days and then return to them. Just wondering is this normal behaviour as I thought they sat on the eggs for the three weeks?

She should leave the nest once a day to toilet, eat & drink. if she does not leave the nest by herself every day,she should be taken off it to be fed & have a drink,if she goes to the toilet in the nest it could kill the chicks in the eggs.

Was just wondering if she was abandoning her eggs. Cheers for that. She's in an open nest box so she comes and goes as she pleases
