Night out in Galway - age restrictions

Lads ill be heading to Galway next weekend and just wondering how strict are the bars in terms of entry. Like we are 19 but we cant get into any club or late bar on weekends in Cork cause they are all 21, 23, or 25 etc.

Carry passports, majority of places just stick to over eighteen, think halo is only club that has a different policy - though that could have changed.

Electric is over 20, halo is over 23's everywhere else is over 18's

Will Age Card do or will it have to be passport?

Age card will probably do for a lot of places, unfortunately the consistency can't be guaranteed - drivers licence either?.

There are a lot of hostels in Galway for budget accommodation or try travelodge if hostels aren't your thing.

What areas would be central to the night life?
Have only been in to Galway once when I was 7 or 8 so I don't remember much

No bother, if it's 2 lads I'd go for Kinlay if it's yourself and a lady travelodge would be better !

Some good places for ye to go, late bars front door, busker browns.

Nightclub Karma , if going here go to the Skeff bar first for free entry !

Kinlay, Snoozles, Sleepzone and Barnacles are all good hostels and all central. Travelodge isnt centre so youll be spending money on taxis. The Western, Victoria and Eyre Square hotels are usually the cheapest of the city centre hotels.
