EDIT JUST USE THIS STREAM: http://rt.com/on-air/israel-military-operation-gaza/

Flares being dropped right now. Assault inbound.

Could already see and hear explosions in the distance, multiple ambulance sirens and drones are constantly buzzing as well

Eerie as ****, its call to prayer time and flares are lighting up the sky while explosions can also be heard over the shouting

It has calmed down a bit now. Drones seem to have stopped and there are no more flares

A confusing statement, considering it was the Jews who were initially ran out of it by the Muslims.

Land of Israel mentioned by King Cyrus of Persia when he liberated the Jews from the Babylonian's. 530BC

Islam founded in the 7th century. Even after Christianity.

Surely Israel are more like Ireland. Taking back a country which was once theirs. Or do you think Ireland should belong to England? Because generation of English were born here too.

I love the way its Al Jazeerz that has the live streaming. I just did a search of they're website and could find no mention of the 13 heavily armed Hamas who tunnelled into Israel this morning.. but were caught by Israeli forces. I'm beginning to see why Egypt locked them up.

The Jews were expelled by the Romans after the third Roman Jewish war...

When the Muslims took over Palestine from the Romans the dominant religion was Orthodox Christianity.

Folks in my town organising a picket for 'the injustice'.
Mention that Hamas are refusing to accept a ceasefire and you're the villain..pile of fûcking morons. This is worse than the Kony episode.

Yea I love watching religious extremists getting blown to bits actually. That's the great thing about a democracy where you can make your own choices. Obviously citizens of Gaza living under a religious extremist Shari law government wouldn't understand what that felt like.

The Jews were expelled by the Romans. So they were there in the first place, to be expelled. True?

It scared the crap out me. I'm sitting here in my cozy bed, safe and sound, watching people die half way across the world. I cannot imagine being there, I cannot imagine what it's like, it's such a stark reminder of how evil people can be.

I guess the Americans should start packing up their things and give the land back to the Native Indians then so?

And what about the people the jews expelled? Jericho and all that, probably the ancestors of the palestinians. Even though its probably all a fairytale anyway

Muslims are a religion not a race. Yes Arabs migrated to Palestine and became the dominant ethnic group but they converted a lot of the natives.

I suppose you think everyone in the US not descended from native Americans should just pack up and go home yeah?

They didn't refuse to accept a ceasefire, they are under siege, it didn't start yesterday.

Disputes like this don't go back that far, they go back as long as there has been borders. Israel seized land and continue to do so.

No I don't. But I believe she died because of the actions of HAMAS not Israel. It was Hamas who broke the ceasefire remember?

Cute of Hamas to send 14 heavily armed members of Hamas under the border last night during a ceasefire that was in place for humanitarian reasons. Not to mention the mortars..

Israel the country that makes me wonder what it would be like if Hitler won the war. Well maybe not that different since he did make a pact with some Zionists to send all the jews from germany there (Haavara Agreement). I just find Israel a disgusting country, i saw a video earlier of a cnn reporter and behind was a group of people cheering as they bomb civilians. Their ancestors must be turning in their graves, no better than the nazi's who persecuted them.

Hamas has refused several offers of a ceasefire.

They don't want to lose face yet they cannot win. They don't care about the innocents dying.

the ceasefire was brokered by israel and the Egyptian government - which you will remember is essentially the egyptian army, who our allies of Israel.

so essential the ceasefire was set up to please israel while offering palestine nothing - why would they except the ceasefire?

Shhh Israel is evil and Hamas is completely innocent.

    And;

all those who died in Israel died because of the actions of Israel?
all those who died in 9/11 died because of the actions of the US Government?
all those who died in the Dublin-Monaghan bombings died because of the IRA?

    etc. etc. etc.

Saying she died because of HAMAS is a cop out. She died because Israel decided to drop a bomb on her head. Same way way that all those who died in the other situations died because a terrorist/fundamentalist decided so.

Nothing except preventing all those innocent citizens dying..but yeah that doesn't matter

This was expected. Gaza has a very large amount of gas, and is governed by an organisation whose power is based on conflict.

Israel have already stated that the gas is a primary reason for military action. Their given reason for not being interested in buying it is that the money will fund attacks against their state. Others have suggested it's because they fear the creation of a financially independent Palestinian state.

Most people seem to take sides with stuff like this. Hamas and the Israeli armed forces have both being escalating conflict for their own interests and have both attacked civilian targets as a matter of course. They're both as bad as each other in my view.

They didn't convert, the Muslims told them to convert or be slaughtered. The entire religion of Islam is based on violence.

Just wondering why it has taking them so long to do this.. There were a few days that their towns and cities were under massive amounts of rocket fire?

So it takes 14 armed guys in a tunnel to finally push Israel over the line

A very small % of those actually get through their various hi tech defences though.

The iron dome missile defence system in particular.

You my friend , don't deserve words . You ignorant bastard. How anybody can speak even one word in defence or support of these murdering animals is beyond me . I hope you speak up out of ignorance and don't hold your views based upon the facts .
