What are you doing right more like!! A couple of weeks who the guy ranked number 1 said his was 60% or something ridiculous like that. That was using the gargatron not sure if this system works it out in a different way or something but it shouldn't really.

I think the (c) % above is the contribution of your captain to your overall score not the % of the best possible in case that is the mix up. On my mobile and haven't read the whole thing so not 100%! Going to add mine tomorrow.

My (c) % of my overall score is measly 20.02%

Busts was only marginally better than mine that time. I've a slight improvement since probably and Kane v Aguero last week would have made a big difference.

I have had NO luck with aguero !
captained him 11 times
2,2,1(injured after 6 mins),1
from gw24-30 I capatined him EVERY week bar one (and I captained him for DGW over Kane)
5,9,5,2,2,2
and the one week in that stretch I did not captain him he hit his only double figure haul 11
that sums up my season.

as benteke has a double next week I'll prob captain him and I KNOW aguero has a MASSIVE score coming soon.........I'll cry if its next week

I have just checked my stats!

If I always captained the highest GW scorer I would be on 2150

Tbh I never really put any thought into my VC as I usually change the (C) near the deadline when I'm sure of who is starting. Feels like alot of points lost and something that has been plaguing me all season (in comparison to my rivals)

Just took the liberty of multiplying everyone's VC figure who didn't multiply it by 2 .

My benched points are pretty high. Is this simply the additional points you could have had if you picked the higher scoring player that week e.g. if I picked Clyne and he scores 2, but Chambers on my bench scores 6 then is that +4 benched points? Or is it simply the amount of points on the bench e.g. Chambers scoring 6 would always count as 6 points regardless of what my actual selected player scored?

Until the Kane v Aguero captaincy this week I was actually doing worse that Busts (it would have been 316 to Bust's 320 total captain points up to last week).

In relation to the overall thread and G1032's original post, I think that the percentage of the game that is luck can make all the difference and tip you from a poor run of backing the wrong players into a disasterous slump. While somebody else making similar bad choices of players will get away with it, sometimes when you make the wrong choices you need the rest of your team to pull you out somewhere else.

For example, I made some very similar choices to G1032.

• I went with Pelle in my wildcard over Kane from GW23-25 (Pelle 6 points, Kane 36 points).
• I also went with ADM and stuck with him for 5 long weeks.
• I sold Giroud in GW25 for Costa, switching Costa to Sturridge the week after.
• I stuck with Sanchez over Ozil/Cazorla, despite having sold him for one week the week he missed in GW24 so had no money tied up in him.
• Worse still I sold Sanchez for Silva that week, but switched back to Sanchez and captained him for Leicester in GW25! Since I made that switch Sanchez has scored 20 points and Silva has scored 46!!! :eek:

So what has kept me from free falling similarly over that period where I arguably made worse moves than G1032 has been getting the captains right on Kane (GW30 and DGW28) and Aguero GW26. Also Puncheon stepped up one week for me for 18 points, and I had a couple of decent scores from PVA and Bellerin at the back (24 points between them in GW23). Also this week I reluctantly made the move from Sturridge to Costa and caught a modest gain of 5 points.

Sorry I looked at this now as even jut Pelle V Kane and Sanchez V Silva costing me 56 points is somewhat depressing! I would be well inside the top 1k.

I always knew my captain score wouldn't be great didn't expect it to be that far down the list though. I can't understand how some peoples (vc) score is so low are people sticking it on random players instead of having a solid back up?

Even if I had got it perfect between (c) & (vc) every week I still wouldn't be in the top 100 wtf are those guys at!!

On the FFS scoutcast he mentioned that he liked to have a well balanced squad does seem insane to have that many points there though! If there was a stat for max score from squad each week presumably he would be well over 2000 points at this stage.

I seem to have an above average captain points but I am well down the rankings, must try and figure out what went wrong. In saying that I am doing well in most of the h2h leagues so I am putting it down to a very poor start, I was at 715k after GW5, back up to 151k after GW 8 then down to 507k after GW 12, I ahve climbed steadily from then on to a current season high ranking of 39k!

Thats not even that bad I was outside the top million at GW7 back to back 2m+ gw ranks in GW4 & GW5 was killer I always seem to start like that though never been able to get off to a good one! It was GW8 that turned it around for me too jumped almost 950k places in the one week! I wish every week was like GW8.

With a well balanced squad he can maybe be more patient with his transfers. Holding onto suspended or players with minor injuries and ends up taking less points hits. Most of us are obsessed with team value and having as cheap a bench as possible. I'm beginning to think this may not be the ideal strategy. It's a killer leaving pts on your bench but at the end of the day it's good as you own that player. There hasn't been a need this season for a huge budget as Kane is so cheap and a load of cheap mids strikers have been performing.

On a separate note did you see the start the sub keeper came up trumps at the weekend. If anyone had Forster Davis. Forster 1 pt Davis 7 pts. I think I'm going to try it next year.
