Would you go for Silva or Sterling if you had a straight choice? Aguero and no other Liverpool player are representatives from their respective teams already included in my side.

Silva. He has better fixtures. Would consider sterling from gw32 onwards though

Thanks. I was thinking the same so I've pulled the trigger.

    Pelle out, Kane in.
    Sigurdsson out, Silva in.

Next gameweek is Sanchez out, Ozil in and then to improve my defence a little bit. Not many things have given me as much pleasure lately as transferring Pelle out. He will haunt me forever!

He lives one day longer in my team since Defoe is dropping tonight and BUIB isn't

Felt great to bring Kane back in earlier. I also went for Silva in for Johnson. Like you, I'm giving Sanchez Wednesday night and then he'll be gone.

Sturridge and Chadli or Sterling and Austin for the coming week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,100 ✭✭✭✭dahat

Massive expectations on Sturridge v Burnley this week, really need him to hit a double figure score.

    I'm the same. He's a huge differential.

I have Sturridge too lads, whatever about hoping for a decent return midweek I wouldn't be expecting it. He was rubbish in Turkey, and badly fluffed two good chances today in his 15 mins.

Alot bigger than I thought he would be though.

Hopefully he is starting to come right though, if he starts and fails v Burnley it could be bye bye

Mentioned it in the transfer thread, how guaranteed is he to start? Pool started with 4 strikers on bench today, they needed to win but struiddge only came on for last 15 mins when pool where already winning.

Lambert/Borini could just as easily start.

Rodgers waffling on about his post injury phase so you would imagine 90 v Burnley after 15 today would fit in perfectly .

Only decision left for me now is play Terry away to West Ham or double up on WBA away to Villa.

    You should stop captaining goalkeepers...

On a serious note - this could be frustrating. At least you got some assists.

I can only imagine how damaging it is to your rankings.

Ye I have had a few assists of late thank god so its not all bad. Its hard to think that if you picked your most likely goalscorer for 13 weeks that they would fail every time.

Terry / Bellerin / Wollscheid / Downing - what 2 should start on the bench? Currently have Downing and Wollscheid but not sure, probably should be Terry but seems wrong to have a €6m+ defender on the bench.

First gameweek in about 6 that I'm actually looking forward to. Doubtless that will have changed by 8:30pm tomorrow, but it's a nice change for now! :)

I've had 2~6 players unavailable every game for about 4 weeks now. I've had weak subs, so I've slide a long way back in every league I'm in. Really losing interest in it.

Anyone leaving out Chelsea defenders v W Ham?
Really tempted to play Dawson v Aston Villa in a WBA double up again.

    Madness or clever?

Yes, I'm leaving Terry on the bench. He's even my second sub. I just can't decide whether to put Clichy (Leics H) in my starting 11 - he might come on for a 1 pointer.

At the moment I'm playing Rose (DGW) - Bellerin (QPR A) - Dawson (Villa A)

People get wrapped up in you can't bench x because he plays for so and so or he costs x million you should play the players you think are going to get the most points regardless of who they play for and how much they cost once they are in your match squad them how much they cost is irrelevant.

EDIT: Having said that I would 100% be playing Terry over Dawson in this spot. Terry more likely to get a cleansheet and a lot more likely to chip in with attacking returns!

I'd play those 3 as well, just hoping for some sort of clue from Jose tomorrow regarding team selection.
At the moment I'm playing Dawson but whether I'm brave enough to follow through is another matter.

Plain and simple I fancy Villa not to score more than West Ham not scoring.

Surely Chelsea will have some sort of lag after the cup final.

I'd go with your Chelsea defender over Dawson all day long to be honest, even more so if I had Foster.

I would do that against every team in the PL except Aston Villa

West Ham have one win in 10 league games, plus a FA Cup hiding against WBA. On the flip side they have only failed to score twice at home this season, and they will surely be up for a derby against Chelsea. Then again they conceded from 3 set pieces against Palace on Saturday so Terry has decent potential for attacking returns. I'll be starting him anyway, but my other choices are Jones and PVA.

I just have this niggle that West ham will be well up for this and see a chance to get a result v Chelsea.
I must look to see how previous games have gone v Chelsea

After GW 2 I was ranked 258k overall, by GW 12 I had plunged to 1.2 million but finally after GW 27 I've managed to get back to my GW 2 rank. At 244k now. If I get inside the top 100k it'll be a good season!!
