Anyone gone through a THR in SSC and willing to share their opinions of their surgeon? Have read good things about Hogan and McCarthy on Boards, but would like to hear if anyone else can provide a view good, bad or indifferent either in the thread or by PM.

My father in law had his hip done at the SSC a few months ago. Can't remember the doctors name but my father in law had nothing but good things to say about his time there.

My mother had a THR 2 years ago by Mr. McCarthy and he did an excellent job. If you want to know about the procedure drop me a message :)

I have a client who's on his fourth THR, the last of them having been done through SSC, ill find out the surgeon, it'll be early next week though. Feel free to drop me a PM to remind me then.

It would be interesting to know who did the first three - I might give them a wide berth :)

A guy at work had a hip done there.
I had my shoulder done there and the place was great. No complaints from me

I had THR in SSC last week. Was carried out by Owen Brady who repaired my ACL (and did an excellent job) in the SSC five years ago.

Nine days later and all is well! It's a fairly routine op these days so if I follow the exercises and do the Physio I'm not expecting much grief.

I spoke to someone who had a THR done by Denis Collins in SSC and said he was very happy with the job.
