One can see the change in other animals like male cattle when they are changed from being bulls to bullocks. That is the real cure, but would probably be viewed as a human rights violation.

At the moment, Dana's brother is simply accused so one cannot say until after the court findings if innocent or guilty, so won't comment on that case.

I just think one can't be cured as we know the problem with recidivism when it comes to sexual offenses.

Chemical castration is carried out in many countries including European countries like the UK.

I never said we use a burdizzo or band them, or simply chop them off.

Meh, it's still mutilation. A long prison sentence with re-education and therapy is what's needed. I don't condone the actions of offenders for one moment but in many cases, they were victims of abuse themselves.

It's not really the same thing. A peadophile, or rapist hasn't got a healthy human perspective on sex and sex acts to begin with. I don't think it would be as simple as just removing their sex drive, they're still the kind of people that would oppress someone else to get what they want.

So if an offender is found guilty, sentenced to say, six years, does all the re-education and therapy. When he gets out, would you let him babysit your kids?

I am not convinced therapy solves the problem long term, the sexual urge is what drives the person to offend, most people control their sexual urges in a responsible way, a certain amount of people seem unable to all of the time.
Repeat offenders should be put out of business...have their sexual urges contained.

I know you don't condone the actions of offenders.
