Hi all, I bought a garmin 220 GPS running watch for my wife through the American Amazon website. My question is, will my buying it through an American site affect it being able to download the latest maps in Ireland or it being used in the normal way? Or does it matter at all?

Customs vat/duty might be an issue, along with a steep courier charge when Vat/duty is applied.
