The Tips Thread. ***READ FIRST POST BEFORE POSTING***

Following the last thread giving a lot of us a headache, here is the new, fresh thread with refreshened rules. You must read this before posting

    Firstly, what is a tip?

A tip is information about a horse that comes from a source close to the horse. What can be posted is first hand (a source close to the horse went to you) or second hand (a source found out from someone close to the horse and went to you) information.

What this thread is not for is fancies by either yourself or if a mate has given you a horse he/she fancies. All information must come from a source close to the horse

    TIPPING:

If you wish to tip, you must complete the following template:

    Horse name:
    Time and Meeting:
    Odds at time of post:
    Info about the source:

Any posts that do not contain this exact template will be deleted. Multiple offences by the same user will then result in further sanctions.

Regarding info about the source, you must state in as much detail as you can where this tip has come from. We're not looking for names (although you may add them if you wish).

If you see a post that does not contain all the info required, then please use the report function to the mods. Do not take matters into your own hands.

    DISCUSSION:

Discussion of tipped horses prior to/after races is allowed. However, all discussion and analysis must be kept civil.

On a couple of occasions, there has been cases where a tip that ran close is due to run again and people have asked if the tipster has heard anything. Asking this question is fine. However, if the tipster says they have heard nothing about the horse, then all discussion stops there and should be brought over to the daily threads.

Any abuse of a poster who gives a tip will result in sanctions against the abusive poster. These sanctions range from a warning to a ban depending on the severity of the case and previous disciplinary records. These sanctions will be issued under the discretion of the moderators.

Also, if this thread goes the way of the previous thread, then this thread will become "Tips Only" with absolutely zero discussion. Should this come about, it will be a decision reached by myself, convert and helimachopter.

As always, regular rules in accordance with the charter apply. If you have an issue with a mod action or any questions about the thread rules, then PM that mod for clarification. Do not raise the issue on thread. Such posts will be deleted and the possibility of sanctions being handed out also.

    Best of luck!

There were four tips as far as I could see on the old thread for today so I've brought them over (and put them in the new format as much as possible) so they won't be overlooked should the original posters not have a chance to do so today. I've added information about the current odds available.

If the source info isn't exactly what's required from the bottom two, I hope the site can bear with us for the first day of this new thread ;)

Please follow the EXACT template as it is in the OP.

I know it might seem like knit-picking, but we put it there for a reason.

I know. Laughed at him when he told me. Looks diabolical. Stranger things have happened though. Forgot to press the E/W on my phone so have it on the nose.

The favourite Vert De Gleece declared a non-runner, into 13/8 with PP and 2.4 with BF.

Edit - it was 3.85 on BF just before the plug was pulled on Vert De Gleece who was 3.15 at the time.
