Hello. I am a non-EU (Malaysian) student who is studying a 5-year Medicine course in Ireland with a Garda card. I am currently attending a summer school in the UK. Will I be eligible by law to work part time in the UK without a UK work visa? If I am eligible, is there a maximum number of hours that I can work?

    Thank you very much!

    Probably not.

Unless you have a permit you probably shouldn't be studying in the uk either unless you have a uk permit.. In which case, what does it say about working?

Ask the student services department in the summer school.

It is unlikely anyone here will be familiar with UK labour law.

    Good luck.
