Are Trailfinders worth it?

Thinking of booking a multi trip holiday to Peru and Brazil through Trailfinders and I was just wondering if anyone has any opinions either way about them? Can they help if a flight is cancelled etc or are they simply just a middle man with very little power to help if something goes wrong?

I use Trailfinders for all our hols & have been lucky that nothing has ever gone wrong apart from flight delays. A few times we missed connecting flights but airline involved sorted this out.
Would recommend you ask them yourself as you need to know this information from the horse's mouth.

if its a small price difference between them and ebookers for same itinerary I would always recommend Trailfinders...

I was caught in Thailand during a Coup, a lost passport incident, the Tsunami and the Ash cloud
    (unlucky i know!)

It was so much easier on 2 of those occasions to be able to call TF and get through to a person for clarification on flight situation etc - than dealing with an outsourced call center with the likes of ebookers/expedia.

The TF people can help you when you are in trouble... don't expect anything similar from ebookers/expedia etc

Another example of TFs excellent customer service here:

I've looked at trailfinders for ideas & pointers & then go and plan an itinerary myself, usually for less.

I see them as a good starting point to gain inspiration.
