This should be a cracking game, if it actually happens.

But the game is apparently in danger of being postponed due to torrential rain in Recife for the last 36 hours, which is expected to get even stronger around Kick Off time. Probably means that the other group game would also have to be postponed. Must be some headache for FIFA. Final decision if Game can go ahead to be made by FIFA at 4pm.

I BELIEVE WE WILL WIN!! or tie or lose and advance...I'm confused now of what i'm supposed to believe anymore.

TBH I wouldn't mind 22 lads just having a bit of passing practice for 90 minutes, chilling out in the summer sun, both teams go through WIN-WIN...although there is no chance of that happening, but maybe if the game is tied with 20 minutes to go, why would either team risk it?

Germany could rest a few for this game. Portugal or Ghana aren't going to overtake them on goal difference and I don't think they wolud be too bothered about having to face Belgium who despite being massively hyped up have huffed and puffed their way through the group of life.

I expect this could start off at a hundred miles an hour but peter out to a dull 0-0 as both sides realise a draw puts them both through.

Severe flooding in Recife. Some fans have abandon their cars and starting walking 17 miles to the stadium...i think its only fair, that we should just call it a tie then?

Hoping for a 5-5 draw with Klose scoring all of Germany's goals.

And if Portugal could beat Ghana and finish third in the group that would make me and my Paddy Power account quite happy.

Logically it's hard to look past the Germans. But the Americans have performed above expectations so far so there is that.

Even so, I'd fancy Ze Germans to win by 3 or 4 goals. Class has to tell.

Both teams can do nothing for 90 minutes, get no injuries, no bookings and no tiredness and still go through.

I know both managers have said they'll play to win, but they'd be mental to play out anything other than a boring 0-0.

the ref is letting a few late tackles go maybe taking the slippy pitch into consideration

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,628 ✭✭✭barry181091

I don't know, the German attacks are a bit meh. They seem to get far and then just power-lacking finishes, sort of holding back.
