As the thread suggests I started this diet on Sunday morning - I'm on day 4 now and whilst I have more than the odd craving I have been very good and not broken any of the rules!

I am a 34 year old Male and my wife arrived home from work last week with a print out of the diet and I said I'd give it a go.
Not too overweight (5'7" and 11.5 stone) but could do with losing 5-10 lbs.

Anyway I weighed myself before i started on Sunday morning & digital scales read 75.0Kg.
A sneaky weigh-in this morning read 72.9kg... After 3 days a loss of 2.1kg is very satisfactory.

    It's basically a low-carb diet.

    Details below for anyone interested:

Day 1 Breakfast 1 slice dry toast and grilled tomatoes
    Lunch Fresh fruit (any amount)
Dinner 2 hard boiled eggs, salad, grapefruit

Day 2 Breakfast Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs
Lunch Roast chicken (any amount) & tomatoes
    Dinner Grilled steak and salad

Day 3 Breakfast Grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs
Lunch 2 boiled eggs and tomatoes
Dinner 2 Grilled lamb chops, celery & cucumber

Day 4 Breakfast 2 slices dry toast, 2 poached eggs
    Lunch fresh fruit (any amount)
Dinner 2 hard boiled eggs, salad, grapefruit

Day 5 Breakfast 1 slice dry toast, 2 poached eggs
Lunch 2 poached eggs & tomatoes
Dinner Fresh or tinned fish and salad

Day 6 Breakfast 2 boiled egg, 1 glass grapefruit juice
    Lunch Fresh fruit (any amount)
    Dinner Roast chicken, cabbage, carrots

Day 7 Breakfast 2 scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes
    Lunch 2 Poached eggs& spinach
    Dinner Grilled steak & salad

    NOTE

    Abstain from anything not mentioned.
Eat only what is shown or do without.
    No substitutions allowed.
    No eating between meals
    No alcohol
    No butter milk or fat

Drinks = black tea, black coffee, lemon tea, grapefruit juice, tonic, soda or water only
Salad = lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes and celery only

DO NOT DIET FOR MORE THAN ONE WEEK AT A TIME.

I'll keep you posted after day 7.

Congrats on the loss, however you should aim to be eating healthy all the time. The sticky has a ton of information on what you could be eating to ensure a sustainable, healthy and enjoyable weight loss.

These quick fix diets generally tend to have you lose a good bit of weight that you quickly pile back on afterwards.

It's not the worst diet food-wise I've ever seen, but it's not a no carb diet. That's a no fat diet.

How many calories per day is this? It seems pretty low.

You should tell your wife to never again print off seven day diets from the internet!

What are you going to do when the 7 days are up?

Echo everything said above - what will happen after 7 days?

That's not a huge amount of food and looks like very few calories. You are basically half-starving yourself for 7 days? Who'd have thunk you'd lose weight if you did that?

No snacks at all - with those tiny meals - not realistic long term.

It's quite a bland diet also.

Dry toast 3 time in a week? Holy god!

So you think it's low carb and no fat? So it's basically a low food diet then!

    grapefruit juice

So you can just drink unlimited amounts??

    Ah it's a yoyo diet!

Is it called a chemical diet because you need to be sniffing some at the time to consider doing it?
