Not sure if this is a good offer or not so don't shoot the messenger.
If you can tolerate the Sun for a year (£86) it appears you get the new model Nexus 7 free. I think you have to be resident in the UK, so don't know if Parcel Motel will be OK. I have enough tablets and don't want the "Sun" so didn't check it too carefully, but thought it worth posting.

Get in on this soon if your interested, as once it reaches HUKD, the resellers will be all over this and stock will be gone very quick.

The terms state offer valid by availability, so I'd imagine The Sun are within their rights to not deliver the tablet due to "no stock" after lots of people sign up.

Do you get sent physical newspapers or ais it a sub to the online digital newspaper, as not worth signing up using parcel motel if its a daily physical newspaper.

A few things to note about this offer that might not make it such a good deal;

You sign up for a yearly renewal with this offer, and of you wish to cancel the subscription for the second year, you can only do so EXACTLY 15 days before the yearly renewal, so in may/June of 2015. You can't cancel the subscription a day after getting your nexus tablet delivered for example.

It would be quite easy to forget about this subscription as it is a year down the line, and if you do forget, you will be charged £173 or so for the 2015 year sub.

Better be legit as I'm after signing up.

Weirdly there's not much mention of the tablet once signed up, and I've not gotten a confirmation email (as of yet)

A guy on HUKD who is signed up to this sub said that the reminder is sent out during the day on the day you have to cancel, and if you miss it that day then your out of luck as its in the contract.

Also I think since this is a contractual subscription, they are within their rights to come after you for alternative payment for the second year sub if you forget to cancel or if your card expires. Whether they actually would, who knows. How this would work if you used parcel motel however I'm not sure.

am i reading the term and conditions right, we can cancel within 14 days, so if they decide not to send tablets to people who signed up with parcel motel, we can still cancel?

Also i know it says uk residents only, but can i still use my irish credit card billing address?

As long as we get the email within 14 days we can then cancel and no harm done, apparently.

You can cancel within 14 days, but the tablets probably won't be sent out until after those 14 days have passed, and you are paying for the full year up front.

i signed up there using my irish billing address and a friends uk delivery address, hoping this is ok.

I'll be on to customer sercives regularly to make sure things are ok and that i'm not stuck with a subscription and no tablet.

I was talking to guy earlier, seemingly they had a problem with my paypal....

He said they had an issue with website and would resolve.....maybe that was that they where out of stock:P

Its a no brainer......you could have caught these as well

2) End date for this offer -This offer is subject to availability.
3) Nowhere it says its Nexus 2013 and Nexus 2012 you will get brand new with few extra bits as far as i know.

Yes, everyone here can research using google but when someone on this thread says avoid and then fobs everyone off saying "google iT" its kinda rude.

I'll pay heed to any advice once its backed up with some sort of links or personal experience. You should have done that in the first place.

80 odd for the 2012 model is still a bargain

And getting this deal and cancelling after the year will cost the sun a good few bob, win win surely.

agreed, keep the thread on topic.... the sun is a terrible paper, but Liverpool fans, like always, are living in the distant past.

the pic on the sun page is of the 2013 model, the 2012 model has the camera in the middle, the 2013 model is not.

will be contacting customer service during the week to make sure i dint get stung with a subscription and no tablet
