For these beers, it certainly is. If you're not interested, then it's not.

I quite like Tsing Tao myself, I'll have to grab a few.

    Thanks OP

TsingTao is cracking, bad time to go off the beer.

    A couple won't hurt :)

Chang or Singha the most popular beers over there , I'd probably go for Chang tho.

Exactly my point. You can't AFAIK. So nothing to compare to.
It would be more suited to a 'beer' forum if there is one.

Seems to be thanking comments though.

I used to love chang but would afraid to try it again, none of these ''now available in ireland'' beer live up to there original taste

Nice. I'm in there about once a year. Do they do Beer Lao?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 202 ✭✭StopWatch

they don't as a rule do beers at all, but often have boxes of Chang, near the checkout, at a good price.

Completely agree. Same with asahi it is made by a brewer in England on behalf of asahi, doesn't come close to the stuff in japan

The Chang and Singha bottles in Lidl now are brewed and bottled in Thailand according to the label.

Was Chang not 8% alcoholio over there? Edit Wikipoodia says 6.4% over there.... Used to love the stuff. Sit down with a pirate movie in a bar that was always rubbish quality but by the time a few changs were had the quality always seemed fine.....

If there's a Chineese supermarket near you try them. One of the ones on ballymount used to do it but I haven't noticed it there in the last couple of weeks

Call me misinformed. I went off a previous boards bargain alert and bought a 4 pack of Leffe last time it was on offer in Lidl. Are these other beers going to amaze me compared to the backwash they sell on taps in 99% of the pubs like Leffe did?

Edit: just noticed that the thread is from June. Ah well still, question still stands.
