Just wondering if anyone has any low calorie baking recepies or know of any sites with good recepies. I'm trying to loose weight at the moment but my daughter is really in a baking phase so looking to make some things with her that wing be too bad for me to have too.

    Thanks!

Just eat a smaller portion. No need to over complicate it.

Just do it right and eat less of it

Mods could you maybe move this to the cakes forum? These answers are far too sensible :-)

A lot of the time you can replace the butter etc... with low fat spread. I make scone, buns etc... with it and it does lower the calorie count. Sometimes you just need to check the recipe with a calorie counter and you'd be surprised at the calories. I made white choc and raspberry blondies the other day and they came out as only 177cals a piece after I only slightly reduced the serving size. And they were amazing. No changes to the recipe content.

Things that have a high ratio of flour tend to be lower also if you're watching carb intake, they will be naturally higher.

Profiteroles are something that are quite low and can be kept quite low if you just cleverly alter the fillings.

Macaroons are also a relatively low cal treat, again, so long as you watch your fillings.

    Try substituting "Stevia" for sugar.

Check out quest bars. Used in baking recipes, they perfectly mimic the taste/texture of a cookie, and they're fairly low calorie, high protein and low sugar.
