HDMI Output to TV no longer working

I have a HP laptop and for the last few years have been using the HDMI output to various TV's with no problems. A few weeks ago, I hooked it up to the TV and the TV didn't pick up the HDMI input, it can sense the cable as if I plug it out it says cable unplugged. I have a HP laptop and for the last few years have been using the HDMI output to various TV's with no problems.

The only difference was that it was the first time using XBMC on the TV, would this make a difference??
Tried the following but no luck!!
Disabled the card (AMD Radeon HD6520G) and re-installed it.
Updated drivers
Tested HDMI cable on other equipment and it works.
Tried different equipment on TV HDMI input and that works too.

How would i test the HDMI output at the Laptop. ie bent pins etc??
Does anyone have any idea what to try next??
