I wouldn't be quite as well versed as many of the posters in here but yes, I think he is.

Just ask yourself, 'Who is better than him?'

    There you go, question answered......

I just checked and he hasn't done it at Stoke so I'm afraid he isn't just good enough just yet.

Also if he wants to go down as the GOAT he will have to win a world cup with his country.

He's like a young Chris Armstrong

In all seriousness, it's funny to think about how huge a spectrum of talent there is in football.

When Gayle was with Stansted in the 9th tier of football (as per the video) his teammates were way way better than I ever was or ever will be. Indeed, even the really good players you knew as a kid were seldom much better than that standard and they were amazing to you at the time.
But he was in a whole different league to them.

And it seemed like it continued all the way up through the divisions in a similar fashion until he landed in the PL.

It's interesting how a ludicrously talented player (he mightn't be Messi but he's still probably in the top 0.0001% of footballers in the world) can emerge from such relative mediocrity.

I lol'd because I know who that is and then I remembered that was years ago and I felt old. But then I had some sandwiches and felt better.

Is it true that Palace paid around £8m for him? Madness if true.

I wouldn't be surprised, Dagenham & Redbridge got around £1m of the transfer fee that Palace paid for him

Exactly. They paid basically nothing for the best player in the world. Madness indeed.

The ultimate proof. Here he is starting against Stoke at the Britannia during the 13/14 season. As you can see Cameron puts in the sly back leg trip, its the only way to stop Dwight!
