Anyone know where I might get my hands on decent (bottoms don't fall down) but reasonably priced gear ?

    What's the stuff from Lidl/Aldi/Penneys like ?

Mostly I'm looking for running tights/leggings/capris and shorts but I don't want to buy something and find I'm constantly having to pull them up 'cos they're constantly falling down etc.

I normally take a trip to Kildare village outlets for running / workout gear.

I find the penneys ones very short on the body.

The buckets are great. You can get your daily quota of caffeine into it in the one go!

Aldi have half decent running shorts and underwear at the minute. The shorts are 6.99, have a back pocket and are nice and light. They have stayed up on the 4-5 runs I have used them on so far!

I wouldn't buy cheap gear (Shorts aside), they don't fit too well which is a nightmare when you are moving about. You are better off investing a few quid, it will last and save you money long term. Leggings/compression stuff in Lidl/Aldi fit horribly.

I usually find that some brands fit me in a medium, some a large.
I need to try things on.

But when I find something nice, I buy 3/4 of them and use 2 of them until they are worn out.
As for hoodies etc, I wear old ones (but clean!) that I don't mind getting sweaty or throwing around the place.

    Buy well, buy once.

I've bought cheap gear, but it generally doesn't wash well, they lose shape and elasticity over time. The two brands Ive bought that last years are Nike and adidas. I have Nike kit going on five years that is still in good nick.

Another vote for SportsDirect.com here, I have a few pairs of the running tights (Ladies) from there and I find the Karrimor ones really good, they have a drawstring so they wont fall down, and every couple of weeks they have a 'sale' where they're only about ten euro. They are ever so slightly thinner than I'd like (only really matters if you plan to wear patterned underwear and bend over a lot), but they wash really well and are well worth ten euro.

I'm looking at these but dont want to get them and find they're constantly falling down !

I have bought many different work out clothes throughout the years and at the end of the day quality and spending a little extra always work out more economical. My favorite are Under Armour for 3/4 leggings and Nike T-shirts (They make them nice and long). If you're looking for something to wear possibly short term, Penny's are really inexpensive. You'll always get what you pay for though I think?:)

i find going cheaper usually works out better for me because ive a knack of losing stuff, if i leave a 40e top in a gym it can be quite upsetting!

(I much prefer the 3/4 lengths)

You asked about USA Pro. I don't have the ones you posted, but I do have these ones. Great quality, REALLY comfy, but to be honest they're much more suited to stretching/yoga etc. I wouldn't run in them. Also they have a gusset, which is great for doing stretchy things but personally can look a bit weirdly baggy-vag if you're just running. But maybe that's just me!
