Groupon, via International Innovations, are offering a deal on the S4 for 350 euro. It normally retails for about a hundred euro more.

Don't know anything about the company so would like to see feedback on what people think.

Best euro price on amazon uk was 400 after currency conversion and postage, so I gave into this deal.

Galaxy S4 is available through Pixmania for €369. Worth the extra few quid for dealing with a reputable supplier.

The company dealing with Groupon here is a crowd called Innovations International. They have a .org address which is a bit odd I suppose.

Has anyone bought it from Pixmania?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭TomPetty

Just noticed that its much cheaper on the .co.uk Pixmania Website, than on the .ie one :-(
Wonder could I buy it on the UK website ?

    Tom.

I presume it could be ordered from Pixmania UK and for an extra 3.50 get it sent to you through Parcel Motel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 63 ✭✭TomPetty

Great idea !! I might just do that ...

This deal is back on Groupon and I'm considering purchasing it.. Would it be a safer bet to purchase on Pixmania? Any feedback from those that have purchased? Thanks.

Pixmania is one of the worst companies around, you can buy these cheaper of adverts as it's quite a dated phone now, still good phone though.

What is the S4 like, folks? Not great reviews when I googled.

One of my friends have it and it seems like a decent enough phone, I don't have first hand experience so I couldn't really tell ya :pac:

From a nerd's perspective, there are better spec'd phones available for that price, as previously stated google nexus would be one of them.

The One Plus One phone if you can get an invite is an extremely high tech phone for in and around that price.

Phone is great, decent size screen. Fast and very responsive. A serious upgrade over the S4. Decent battery life(Compared to other smartphones). A lot of very useful features like reading mode etc.

Cons - Overheating occasionally, sometimes the phone randomly resets itself- not frequently though.

Very hard to fault overall. Would recommend.

Great phones. Through my own clumsiness I've killed 2 of them, dropped one in a pool in Portugal and the other fell from my hand on top of a ladder :-( but the phone was that good I went out and bought another from cex straight away, no hesitation. Of course there is new models now, but if the features to me aren't worth the difference. I'm going to wait to the s6 is out .

So I've shopped around and it seems that barring buying it second hand the cheapest options are this Groupon Deal and buying it from Amazon.de for 350 delivered... Not sure what to do.

you can get a sony xperia z2 for 380 on vodafone ready to go. far far superior phone. in fact z2 is better than the G5. more premium with metal and glass, waterproof up to 5ft for 30 minutes, 20mexapixel camera with dedicated camera button, etc etc.
400 but get 20 off but by porting the number (order a sim from other, e.g. meteor, and never actually use it aside from getting the porting text code in the application process).

Has anyone bought one of these off groupon?

I see the S5 is for sale on there now for €459
