Wonder if Pozzovivo will turn it on like that freak stage last year.

I presume Kelderman will move up on GC

Expect Quintana & Hesjedal to move up also....

    And maybe Uran

Wonder if Pozzovivo will turn it on like that freak stage last year.

I still have my doubts about that result...it is possible they made a mistake with timings/transponder ?

Pozzo was beating Tony Martin fro most of the stage and was third just behind Martin & Cancellera, with a considerable gap to rest of the field ...and beat a flying Nibali

Today will surely show if it was a fluke or not

Robert Millar on Cadel Evans lead ....he speaks sense

I know it's a TT but I'm guessing the GC riders will get out their binoculars, look at each other and do nothing.

    Quote from Quintana:
The problem in my glutei muscle is almost gone, it doesn’t hurt me anymore. Now my problem is that I've got a bit of catarrh, a sore throat and headache. My nose is blocked too.

    Yes...and it is

Expect changes on GC and a bit of a mix up

Man, 62 minutes best time so far - that's one long TT, so a huge day. Just saying they expelled 2 riders from the race for yesterday finishing 240km race 16 seconds over the limit, man that's draconian.

You and me both, Nairo, you and me both.

It's tough having so much in common with a world class cyclist.

I was wondering how to emphasise the immensity of my inner emotion, and not mad about exclamation marks & the like, so it was down to man, god or sheesh, and man won out.

Way down ....lost 5 and half mins ...behind most of his teammates
He went out very fast but maybe had a problem on descent ?????
or knocked it off cos of the conditions...he was not far behind Lugvegson

Ulissi again .......my fantasy team is going well

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,630 ✭✭✭pelevin

Unless Roche was feeling superb on the day, presumably little value in pushing himself today.

Ulissi is looking better & better as a rider all right. 3 weeks ago I asked here "Anyone expecting things in the way of being great/good/reasonable/not up to much from Diego Ulissi in the Giro?" I must have felt something coming in me water.

jeez...deignan a good minute 20s faster than him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 790 ✭✭✭mistermatthew

By time i got to bookies stage betting was suspended. Wanted Kelderman at 9/1, he better not win now lol

    Fabio Aru !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Also in my fantasy team

This will be Ulissi's first ever TT win if nobody else can go faster (he has ridden in 29 ITTs and prologues so far in his career).

There has to have been a problem ...he was flying at one stage to the first climb as camera following

    Maybe he crashed

I guess if its not your Giro its not your Giro

So, Evan's possibly losing the pink jersey today? Next split will be crucial. Exciting time trial.

Nope, Evan's screwed. A min down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,526 ✭✭✭✭Darkglasses

Unless he's on a big negative split (which I don't think he is), then Uran's in pink?

I think he mentioned 12/1. Looks a great varied course too, not just a physiological test, would have been great to see someone like Nibali of last year attacking the descents & corners.
