My dad got one. And it is very impressive. The device is very small, but the bass response and volume is very impressive indeed. Bit thumbs up from me.

Great price for one or these. I was looking into one a few months ago and it was £90. So definitely a bargain at this price.

Have one of these, paid twice that price at Christmas. Great device with incredible sound for something that size. Big thumbs up !

An early xmas present for myself. :D

    Cheers OP.

Thanks OP! came in at £38.31

    Great reviews too.

Hmm.. been considering a Bose Play:One but this is hella cheap when compared..

.. I presume sound wouldn't be close to that of the Bose but still tempting.

EDIT: Actually didn't realise how small it was.. could be handy for upcoming hols, so will pick one up I reckon. Thanks Davy!

They appear to have a rechargeable battery, so both....

Like the look of this - seems quite heavy though?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 835 ✭✭✭Slipshaney

Have one of these - great sound for such a small device

Not heavy at all - not sure if this is the model that can be linked together to play simultaneously

Good bargain, it looks much more sturdy than a few of the cheaper ones I've used before. Should be a great companion for holidays!

I have one and they do pack some sound into such a small item. The boombox you can't link to another boombox, for example to play the same music in two rooms or in the same room as stereo. You would need the UE Boom model, which is around £75.....and obviously two of 'em!

I'm very tempted - how does it compare to this one on Groupon.ie ?

    http://www.groupon.ie/deals/national-deals/gg-dynergy-ltd-153/38956002

Veho 360° M6 Mode retro wireless bluetooth speaker for €39.99

The Logitech one is highly rated and in a review I seen a few weeks ago it was the best value for money speaker. Think the Veho ones are mainly cheap and wouldn't be the best sound quality wise. The Boombox is supposed to have a deep rich sound. I'd definitely choose it over the Veho 360.

Cheers. Was planning to buy a Pasce Minirig (£90) but this should be good enough for intended purposes :)

Newer boombox (may not be released yet) does allow for multiple boomboxes to be connected to the once source

That's the "UE Mini Boom" which has been out for at least a few months. Not sure if it's much different to this one otherwise; the design is the same.

My laptop doesn't have Bluetooth but I could use this as a speaker if I get a Bluetooth dongle?

Afaik there's also a line in so you could run a cable into it from your laptop too.

Mine was collected in the UK @ 18:36 yesterday.

Arrived in Belfast @ 03:50 this morning.

Delivered to Parcel Motel @ 10:00 this morning.

No sign of it being en route to me or even acknowledged on their system!!

My Parcel Motel account typically updates in the early evening after it was delivered to them saying it's 'In Transit'. Then normally get a text / e-mail at 2am saying it's in my local Parcel Motel.

Though opted for Free Super Saver on this.. not in a huge rush for it - as long as it's here for the holidays in a month.

Me too, don't get me wrong, love parcel motel but only use it if it saves me on shipping or shipping to Ireland isn't possible. Why pay more to not get it delivered to your door (unless you're never home obviously). Ordered the JBL iPhone Dock last week from bargain alerts (has new owner) and now this. As said; damn you BA!

I already have a JBL Flip... ugh... Ordered :pac:

    Thanks as always :)

I ordered Monday also and its here next to me, was delivered to my parcel motel and got a text at 7am.

Nice sound from it, a lot smaller than i imagined but will be handy for outside and stuff.

    Euro plug though.

Very happy overall. Cheers again OP.

Edit: i dont think i had the option of delivery to Ireland when i got it, hence the PM route ? Cant remember.

I don't think yours came from amazon. You ordered on the same day I ordered and the cheapest option (the one that comes up if you clicked on the link) was £37 but was "fulfilled by amazon", not from amazon so no free super saver delivery to ROI (only uk).
The amazon price was £37.38 so went for that one and got it direct to ROI, we'll see about the plug when it gets here.
What does your receipt/order page say?

Ordered mine Monday as well and delivered via Amazon Prime next day to Parcel Motel in Belfast and Tuesday night down here.

Mine had both euro and UK connectors in the box. Did you check the bottom to see if there, would be surprised if not.

It's much much smaller than I imagined but does sound great.

Still cheaper than £79.00 which I see the black unit being sold on the Logitech website and others

Has anybody else's not dispatched yet?

I ordered on Monday and still no sign of isn't dispatch email from Amazon.

Ordered Monday as well, my order went from "dispatching soon" to "dispatching now" back to "dispatching soon" before finally being dispatched today. As you said you'll only receive an email when it's dispatched, but you can check your order status online in "your orders" to get an idea if it's going to be shipped soon.

    Got mine on Friday.

The sound out of it is really something else.. nice and bassy (something often lacking from small speakers).

    Thanks again Davy.

Probably my best purchase of the year. It sounds "good enough" and the size, battery life and wireless nature make it so handy to have.
