Could be useful to keep all the feeds on this one thread.

Up first Tyrone Down on 1 West for RTE. Channel name Tyrone Main HD, not very strong 9.5 dB, 54%.

    11485 V 14240 3/4 S2 4:2:0 8PSK Pilot On. I found this one myself, not up on Satelliweb yet.

RTE have gone to 24.5 West today. Channel name Cork v Waterford but it is the Derry Donegal game. Stable picture with me at 7 dB but that is borderline.

After match now but just to keep a record of the feed, could be useful to check in future. This one a bit stronger 9 dB. Channel name Cork v Waterford CI. I hope RTE don't start using 24.5 regularly, a lot of feeds there are too weak for me.

Intelsat 905 is used by Digital Space as an OB feed. 750w Xicom Power amps/2.4m Vertex Antenna to withstand rainfade.

Also used a lot for the big tournament golf.

Other links via other Irish OB companies for GAA on Astra 3 23.5, 0.8E and 37.5W. Noticed RTE were using 10E for the Racing feed from the Curragh at the weekend.

I noticed the TG4 comment on Satelliweb.

    Tg4 gaa league dvbs2 hd

But I think it is from an non Irish person using info from previous TG4 league feeds. It is another RTE feed, channel name Thurles HD World.

Check Satellitweb near the throw in time. It will be interesting to see if there are any FTA feeds from Sky and what satellite they will use. The use 16 East a lot for UK football but the signals are weak with me. I mighn't be around later on this evening and I will be going to the game in Armagh tomorrow.

You can watch Kilkenny Offaly on the RTE player according to LJ's site, but not in the UK.

They used 23.5E today, one of TVM's OB Units, possibly.

It was encrypted for a change....... looks like there will be no feeds in the open if its Sky.

This says 4:2:2 but they are clearing on the Dr HD receiver, test cards at present. 11508 is Roscommon v Mayo Dirty and 11499 is Dublin v Laois.

Could have possible coverage of Louth v Kildare if it is coming from Croke Park.

    Astra 3A-3B (23.5°E)

    Frequency: 11508 - Pol: V - SR: 6111 - FEC: -

    Transmitted in: MPEG-2 4:2:2

Edit. It is 4:2:2 clearing on AzBox, hurling game from Roscommon and video of an empty Croke Park.

New card for Mayo V Roscommon,

    Astra 3A-3B (23.5°E)

    Frequency: 11518 - Pol: V - SR: 6111 - FEC: -

    Category: Sport - Autres

    Transmitted in: MPEG-2 4:2:0 (PAL)

Also 3 audio feeds form the Croke Park feed, commentary should be on Ch 2 or 3

Nothing yet for the Cork game, but isn't it on the RTE player?

Might be a feed closer to the time.

Just a quick question. Do you use an enigma 2 image or the original firmware in your azbox to get the 4.2.2 feeds?

I have 3 premium pluses all on open rsi but I haven't had a motorised dish up and running in a while so I don't know what firmware is better.

    Thanks

I had 72% SNR with a 1m Gibertini dish in Cork City, so maybe you just need some tweaking.

I am using Enigma 2, the OpenAtv version, which is the only one being updated regularly as far as I know.

    http://images.mynonpublic.com/openatv/nightly/index.php?open=azboxhd

But I do not have the AzBox connected directly to the dish. It is looped through from the Dr HD receiver which I use to drive the dish. It's software is very similar to Technomate if you are familiar with that.

I find it much easier to tune in the feeds with the Dr HD and then if they are 4:2:2 switch to the AzBox. I would nearly recommend that route to anyone with a spare receiver and if you find Enigma 2 a bit of a pain like I do.

Something I realised just recently about Enigma 2. Setup, Service Searching, Sat Finder is the quick way to field through the parameters to find a signal.

They were using 23.5 again today.

DigitalSpace OB. Channel Name: Thurles HD Main.

Sky were using 23.5 yesterday evening from Sligo but it was encrypted.

RTE from Clones up and running now on 1 West channel name Donegal v Antrim. Fairly strong 11.3 dB, 68%. They used this from Portlaoise yesterday as well.

    11472 V 3/4 6111 8PSK Pilot ON.

@dxhound Did you have any luck with the feed labelled "Network 7 Gaa" on 23.5E today (11477 H 4299). It was 4:2:2. Couldnt get a lock on it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,861 ✭✭✭✭dxhound2005

I could hear the RTE audio on both the Dr HD and the AzBox. On the Dr HD the picture was just a mish mash of blotchy colours, no picture at all on the Az. So I don't think it was 4:2:2. There have been quite a few similar feeds from RTE this year and I think they must be using something different.

I will be getting a TBS 5925 in the next month I hope and it should be able to resolve them and analyse what they are. As if life wasn't complicated enough already. It is the outboard equivalent of the better known 6925 computer card.

Any 1 get the Galway v Kilkenny game on Sunday, next Saturdays replay will be the 1 to get lads so if you could all try to get it and post up here I and a shed load of friends would be very grateful ;)

Also for people following that don't have an Az box or equivalent, any Linux receiver can be used to tune to the feed and use vlc player on your PC/laptop to view the video.

It may not be fed back live as RTE are not even allowed stream it as it clashes with Sky's live GAA game.

Yeah well this is a Feeds thread in the Foreign Satellite forum, not the GAA forum so take your agenda over there.

Two feeds on 1 West 11463 and 11490 V 6111. RTE do not encrypt their feeds. I would say there is no chance of a feed for the Kilkenny Galway replay since the game is not being broadcast live. Every game is obviously recorded for the Sunday Game highlights but there is no need for a feed if it is not a live broadcast.

I will be in Clones on Saturday evening for Monaghan Armagh so I won't be around to see what feeds are up. Monaghan Armagh is on Sky and will certainly be encrypted.

Pointless advice for the Foreign Satellite board.

Besides it would cost a hell of a lot more than a tenner to get to Tullamore for the game.

Theres a few of us here that want to see it but its nicer viewing on large tv than at the actual game anyhow imo, get to see more of the action that way..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23 Metropolitan

I'll keep an eye out for a feed on Saturday evening, but as DXH has said, I'd be very surprised if one popped up given that there's not even a stream.

Louth v Kildare is the only non-televised or streamed game I've found a feed for this year, and that's simply because it was being followed by Dublin v Laois at Croke Park.

Just referring back to this topic. For some reason TG4 have feeds on Monday evenings for their later highlights programme. This feed on 23.5 East is one of those which is sound only on AzBox and blotchy video plus sound on Dr HD box.

I got that 5925 USB receiver and it is able to resolve the video using VLC player. I have it looped through from the other two receivers into the computer, so it is just a matter of selecting VLC player from the software menu of the receiver.

Couple of screenshots, end of Kildare Loais Minors and start of Tipp Galway which will be on TG4 amongst others at 8.30pm. I will probably start a new thread about the 5925 receiver if anyone is interested.

Was this a 4:2:2 feed that the Azbox couldn't decode ? That would be strange. If you have Enigma software on your azbox, the webif function should work, no matter what the tuner source. ie VLC automatically plays 4:2:2 over webif by opening it in a web browser and opening the channel with VLC.

So whats the chances of a feed from O'Moore Park Portlaoise today for the early game, Laois V Tipperary?

The second game, Tipp V Offaly is live on Sky so there's gonna be an OB unit there anyway, but will it strike up in time for the first game??

With it being on Sky, I'd expect any feed to be encrypted, even if they were to set it up early.
